Jonestown lives on in Kentucky

Some people have principles - others, well their choices say all that need be said.

Some people are willing to translate their religious fanaticism into hate and discrimination--and then, of course, they excuse that by calling it "principles" or "morals."

A private school can do anything that they like.  They don't like Liberals, apparently.

It is so sad that you think that simple tolerance is a "liberal" (I don't know why you continue to Trump-capitalize the word) concept---when it's actually a "human decency" concept.

If liberals say who cares, let her have whatever birthday cake she wants, while conservatives say, burn the heretic, all I can say in response is, thank the Flying Spaghetti Monster that I'm a liberal.

If conservatives are baffled as to why they are so despised---well, consider the amount of effort they expend on telling people what kind of cakes they should be allowed to have.

And BTW, Boiler, a private school CANNOT do "anything it likes." Laws and regulations still apply.

The real problem with liberals is that they think and demand that they should be allowed to do/say anything they want at anytime at the expense of someone else's dollar and sweat. To that I say shut your whiny, demanding, filthy mouth, take responsibility for you actions, get off of your dead ass and get a job and pay your own way.

Conservatives are evil. They have a whole arsenal of excuses to justify that, though.

Returning to the OP, anyone who isn't outraged by what happened to that little girl is an asshole. Politics and ideology don't enter into it.

The silver lining is that everyone will know to stay the hell out of Dumbtucky. It's not America--it's AMURRICA.

On one side of the nation we have, as Der Fuhrer states, Dumbtucky. On the other side of the nation we have California - the land of the over taxed, whiney liberals, bastion of the homeless and illegal aliens. I beg to differ as to which state is the dumbest.

Kevin is correct, with his point that the private school can't do anything that they want.  They can't commit murder, for example.  They can kick a kid out of school for actions that you might think are perfectly fine, but they hold differing opinions.  It's their way, or the highway.  Whiny Liberals need not apply to this school.  When most parents send their kids to a private school, they are in lockstep with the school policies.  If one doesn't like the school policy, then find a school that is more Liberal.  As  usual, Kevin and most Liberals don't like this.  In Kevin's mind, only schools with Liberal policies should be allowed.  If Kevin wishes to open a school which encourages sexy clothes, purple hair and a gay lifestyle, go right ahead.  Some of us prefer a more conservative environment for our children.

This is a correct statement.

And its worth remembering when the Mike Pence wing of our political spectrum advocates shuttering the public school system in favor of private institutions that can engage in this kind of discourse.

Our Socialist Public school system is what keeps us from going back to the Dark Ages.   But then again, some people like the Dark Ages.   So its good they have options like this horrific place in Lousiville  (which is otherwise a fantastic city, I might add)

Careful PJ, stating that Louisville is a fantastic cicy in the state of Dumbtucky will not sit well with Der Fuhrer.

Most otherwise idiot Trumper states have one or more urban areas that are liberal, even strongly so. Living in a place where people read books and go to school fosters liberalism.

In contrast, talking to pigs and fucking sheep all day fosters conservatism.

So were I ever forced to live in Kentucky, I'd definitely choose Louisville.
