Jonestown lives on in Kentucky

Many or most Liberals do not believe that Conservatives should be allowed to open schools which hold conservative views.  Hell, these same Liberals believe that Conservatives should not be allowed to voice their conservative opinions.  On the other hand, all Conservatives fully support the right of Liberals to do their own thing.  Open Liberal schools all you like.

More capitalization problems. A dire sign of cognitive decline.

You have no idea what liberals believe--that's obvious. But NO school should be allowed to teach a particular political ideology--liberal or conservative.

Children should be educated and allowed to form their own opinions--not be indoctrinated. That's why there actually are no such things as liberal schools or conservative schools.

Der Fuhrer -- Tell that to the ultra liberal lying colleges. I am sure that they would shout you down while using your favorite brand of filthy language.

So the parents don't have the right to have their children receive the education they find best.  And PJ told me that no one on this site was advocating a shut down of conservative thought and schools.  That is the exact reason people choose private schools.

No, they don't have the right to miseducate their children, and turn them into Trumpers. That's child abuse.

Kevin, thank you for making my point.  Kevins believes that only Liberal thought should learned in school, all other thought should be banned.

They don't have the right to turn them into liberals, either. They should present a balanced worldview and let them form their own opinions and ideas.

However, schools nowadays teach tolerance and inclusion. I know that conservatives HATE those concepts and label them as "liberal ideas." Therefore, in their twisted mindset, a school that teaches children not to be bullies and to respect all races and cultures is a "liberal school."

We know from empirical evidence that the more educated a person becomes, the more likely he/she is to be a liberal. That isn't because liberal values are taught in schools so much as when a person gains more knowledge of the world, he/she becomes more sophisticated and tolerant--which views make conservatism that much less attractive.

Oh, and by the way, "liberal" should not be capitalized unless it's the first word in a sentence (he said patiently to the toddler who hasn't yet grasped the concept).

Kevin doesn't believe that parents should have a choice to raise their children a certain way, unless it's the Liberal way.

Didn't I just say that children shouldn't be indoctrinated, one way or the other?

Please show common decency and don't put words in my mouth.

Parents should not have absolute freedom, however, to "raise their children in a certain way." For instance, they can't keep them from getting an education and if they homeschool their children, they have to prove that they're competent to do it. They are obligated to look after their children's well-being and aren't allowed to abuse them.

If you keep on misrepresenting my views, especially after I state them explicitly, I'm not going to give you the privilege of conversing with me any more.

Parents have the right to raise their children any way they like.  You do not have the right to raise another's children.............you know, like the Nazi did.
