I wasn't going to post about this. I figured no one would find it interesting, but since you care about me, I'll go ahead and share with you, my friend.
Two years and five months ago, I discovered a full-pay Bonus Poker advantage play at my local casino. I like the low variance for frequent play. That has come to an end, they downgraded all the BP machines to 6/5. When I saw that I ran my casino cash through the machine once, cashed out, and thought it was over. I increased my backroll by 2.5 times during that play.
I had checked the paytables on other games, and when I got home and took a look, I figured out a DDB 9/5 play that I think I can eke out a 100.7% theoretical return. I don't like the higher variance, though!
Yesterday was my first day to give it a go. After picking up my mother-in-law, we headed to the casino. Started pretty steady, then started losing quickly, as DDB will do to you, and lost my first $200. Re-loaded another $200 and the 4-of-a-kinds started rolling in, ended up with 8 4-of-a-kinds, including 4 threes and then 4 fours with a kicker. The fours came after lunch, I had loaded $200 in, and as you can see from the pic, I was down to $12 when it hit. I ended up with a $550 profit!
First time playing DDB in 2.5 years, cheers!
