They are not the first, Fox News was the first, they were so concerned that going to trial would allow all their lies to be shown at trial they paid $787 million to avoid it. Then AON settled with Dominion for the lies that they promoted.

Our courts provide a robust mechanism to protect business entities and/or individuals against defamation, no matter what the political bent of the accused and the target may be. Unfortunately, though, I speak in the present sense. In 24 hours, our court system will be rendered worthless.
Oh, there will still be defamation suits. But the only ones with a prayer will be those targeting actual legitimate news outlets. Fox Nooze and its ilk will be immune.
