New policy: all active military service members 30+ years old will be forced to have their testosterone levels tested and if found to be low, will be required to take testosterone supplements. Those who refuse will be dishonorably discharged.

The science--the reality--is that doctors are quite reluctant to prescribe testosterone supplements, because there are multiple side effects. Testosterone supplements increase libido, but can also cause bone fragility (fractures), testicular shrinkage, and other complications such as cardiac issues. So Hesgeth wants more soldiers who are horny, have tiny balls, and break their arms and legs a lot.

The Turd House press release didn't clarify whether female service members, who presumably have low testosterone levels, will also be required to take supplements.

Dishonorably discharged? Where'd you find that consequence? There is no risk of discharge or punitive outcome and testosterone treatment is a voluntary tenet, not mandatory, for those determined to have whatever 'low' levels are discovered.

The clue is Kevin's likely intentional misspelling of Hegseth's name.

Refusing mandatory medical treatment (like flu vaccines and such) is grounds for dishonorable discharge, and the testosterone treatments are being touted as necessary and mandatory for those who test with low testosterone levels.

What you say about that treatment USED to be true. Hegseth is making it compulsory. It may be that a court challenge will invalidate his new policy. But given the current makeup of the courts...

Hegseth's new policy mirrors the views of MAGA: the ideal soldier is horny, breaks bones easily, and has tiny balls (less likely to be shot in the nuts). These treatments should help with that!

Treatment is not mandatory right now with this new policy. You'll have to present a source backing your claim. They're requiring testing for those over 30, but testosterone treatment for low T outcomes is not mandatory currently. How / where is it published that he is making treatment ( testosterone supplements / replacement therapy) compulsory for those that test below some benchmark? And they sure won't dishonorably discharge them for having low T levels. That'd spur lawsuits galore for certain.

Not what Hegseth said. It may be the case that the rule is that they can refuse treatment, but if there's one constant in the Turd administration, it's that rules don't mean jack shit.

At an absolute minimum, those who refuse testosterone treatments will be passed over for promotions, have their careers derailed, and get the worst postings.

His initial announcement implied that there would be sanctions for those who tested deficient but refused therapy. Then another announcement implied that only those who had "adequate" testosterone levels would be considered for certain duties and assignments. His latest press release skipped over that issue altogether; his press goon was asked the question directly and evaded it.

Like so much in the Turd administration, there are unwritten rules and policies here. They probably don't want to outright say, "Don't get the testosterone and your career is over." But that's what it will be, functionally. And the military does and will discharge members who "Consistently refuse to maintain their personal health." (I'm paraphrasing from Army regulations that were previously used by the Turd administration to oust transgender service members.)

And where is this all coming from? RFK Jr.--who else? He scarfs testosterone. And we already know about his medical expertise (gag, barf).

The rhetoric from Hegseth suggests that the T-supplements will be mandatory for those who "need" them. I concur that current Army regulations don't say that. But I'm sure that anyone who refuses them will face some kind of punishment and/or exclusion, even if the policy doesn't become law. The Trump fascist military does what it wants to its members.
