Kaepernick Workout Produces a Tryout with the Cleveland Browns

Umm, . . . but not for Colin Kaeperncik.

Wide Receiver Jordan Veasy - one of his wide receivers from Kaepernick's workout - earned an opportunity to tryout with the Cleveland Browns.

Kaepernick has the skills to start for most NFL teams (though he's probably rusty). Several teams have a quarterback who is less talented than he. But his very mild acts of protest have made him toxic. Too bad, because I can think of at least half a dozen teams that would be improved by hiring him.

NFL owners are all rich old white men who don't like the idea of an uppity black man and are dyed-in-the-wool political conservatives. They tolerate having black players because they know they couldn't field competitive teams if they only hired white players. But when one of them gits uppity--well, tarnation, that thar's the limit!

The message to black people nationwide is crystal-clear: we'll let you work for us, if you're really talented. But keep your no-good darkie mouths shut.

Kevin, believe this:  You have managed to use more racist, pejorative language about the very people you purport to take a bullet for than any poster on this site.

Unless you have been inside the minds and boardrooms of "all" NFL owners, don't try to tell us what happens there.

Der Fuhrer Kevin knows everything  - just ask him.

Kevin Lewis promulgates that "NFL owners are all rich old white men".

This is a lie.

Candy, you know damn well I use those terms ironically, as in what white racists think and say. You're not so stupid as to fail to realize that--except when you're being a Trumper, I guess.

I can certainly infer what the NFL owners think about Kaepernick. He could play for any one of a number of teams, and that would be an improvement over what many of them have now. Plus, he could be signed for cheap--probably the NFL minimum.

It would be good strategy and I can only conclude that old-white-boy outrage about his "radical" stance has blinded them to the possibility. I don't have to be looking over their shoulders--I can see their otherwise inexplicable inaction. Good quarterbacks, in the prime of life, with NFL experience, don't exactly grow on trees. The owners' racism prevents them from seeing that.

I exaggerated. Primarily rich old white men. That certainly describes almost all of them.

I would wager that at least 28 or 29 out of the 30 are radical right-wingers. Thus the racism.

I doubt any team in the NFL will offer him a contract, he is a cancer. It is a TEAM sport and they (owners and coaches) do not want the distraction.

Kevin Lewis loses !

Poor old DonDiego just spent all of 10 minutes doing a bit of research at Sports Illustrated Guide to NFL Owners .

__It seems a mite less than half of team owners prefer to support Republican causes and candidates.

__Maybe 8-to-10 support Democrat causes and candidates; the Carolina Panthers owner has called President Donald Trump "the father of lies", apparently the most radical owner !

__Most of the others contribute to both sides, or show little political affinity.  And 2 franchises are unique: i. the Packers are owned by thousands of shareholders, and the Broncos franchise is presently tied-up in a trust.

As usual, Kevin lies again and again. Anyone reading anything he posts needs to double check his twisted rhetoric. I do not believe any of his BS.
