Surely you don't suffer from the same cognitive diseases as our other Trumpers?
I suspect that DonDiego chuckles often. Best I can tell, he studied hard in school, allowing him to gain a good job. He worked his job diligently for years, and now is enjoying the fruit of his labors. What's not to enjoy and chuckle about...............including poor Kevin.

Why, . . . yes. Yes indeed, . . . that is essentially poor old DonDiego's life-history in a nutshell.

Then, it's such a shame that DonDiego has negated all of his prior virtuous and saintly conduct by becoming a Trumper and helping to betray his country and spread hate throughout the world.
I am somewhat forgiving of DonDiego because it appears that he hails from a part of the country where racism, bigotry, and hillbilly conservatism are mother's milk. He may not have had much choice if raised by rednecks. But at some point, he should have been able to think for himself and as an adult, to resist the moral corruption of Trumpism.
Now, I sense a good person trapped inside a figurative Trumper prison, screaming to get out.
Kevin Lewis, . . . wrong again, as usual.
Poor old DonDiego was born and raised in a small town near Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Everyone knew their neighbors for blocks around and all the Mom's kept track of each others' kids. And the kids could bicycle anywhere in town or the surrounding countryside with no fears. Times were good.
Racism was almost impossible to find during DonDiego's youth. As he recalls a Black family did move into town when little DonDiego was 10 years old or thereabouts, . . . even lived on the same street as little DonDiego. He recalls no tales of discrimination.
Oh, . . . a few years later an Hispanic family moved into a house one-block-east and one-block north from DonDiego's house just across from an elementary school . Likewise no hint of antagonism or violence.
As far as poor old DonDiego can remember there was little crime in his town during his youth. Several years after his departure into the real world, the clerk in a then-newly-arrived 7-11 in town across from the High School was the victim of a robbery/shooting. The real world had arrived.
DonDiego subsequently lived in Massachusetts, East Texas, Virginia, West Texas, Florida, New Mexico, Arizona, and eventually Tennessee. Oh, and he experienced several extended stays relating to his job in California and Alaska.
In all his movements DonDiego has never judged the politics of a State or City a significant consideration in deciding where to live.
And until recently he had never encountered someone who addresses others based upon their perceived politics e.g. "Trumpers". In DonDiego's travels politics has always been something that shows up every now and again, . . . not a topic that controls his life and behavior.
Was Donald Trump his first choice among the early possible candidates? No.
But with respect to the Presidential Election of 2016, poor old DonDiego opines that he did, in fact, resist the moral corruption of the Democrat candidate, The Hillary.

There you have it. Don Diego didn't want to vote for the candidate that was morally corrupt based upon the conspiracy theories he found in the conservative media. He decided he wanted the real deal a man whose lack of morality was never in doubt.
Re: Mark's post of 11 Nov 3:46pm:
Mark has mis-interpreted poor old DonDiego's reasoning in the 2016 Presidential Election. DonDiego assumes the mis-interpretation was intentional, . . . so he pays it no heed.

I see. You treat it just like Trump's criminal misdeeds. You pay them no heed.

It's actually disturbing that DonDiego learned to be a Trumper on his own. I was giving him the benefit of the doubt by speculating that he might have been indoctrinated as a child.
Being a Trumper is not a political stance. It is a worldview--the concept that white people should rule the world, that the rich should dominate the poor, that the primary goal of American society should be to enhance shareholder value. Slavish fealty to Donald Trump is actually a byproduct, an expression of nationalist, racist sentiment. Also, a salient feature of Trumpers is cognitive dissonance--simply denying any uncomfortable truth.
I have yet to see any plausible reason for DonDiego's white-hot, fanatical hatred of Hillary and am beginning to suspect that she did indeed turn him down for a date several decades ago.
