This law is just closing another loophole illegals are utilizing to remain in the U.S. If they wish to stay, they actually must be on campus students and not take all of their courses online - which they can do in their home country. If a student is here legally, this rule does not apply.
Here's the reality. Schools that open up will have to keep their kids safe, but will be exposing adults who work there to literally thousands of opportunities to be infected.
Let's say those adults are willing to take the risk. Fine. There will still have to be major changes in the way things are done in schools. Those measures will cost money. Quite a bit of it, in many cases.
Trump and DeVos are threatening to cut off schools' federal funding, right at the time when they are grappling with the huge problem of how to reopen safely.
Therefore, the single most significant thing we can do to keep our kids safe is to get rid of Trump.
If kids return to school, the funding will be there.

Only if they do so immediately, in the way and according to the schedule Trump and DeVos want, and only if they're in Trumper states, in mostly White counties.
But let's see if Trump actually carries out his bully-boy threat, which he might realize, does him no good and will cost him votes.
