DonDiego implies that the chants of "LOCK HIM UP!" were due to the extremely partisan nature of the crowd.
Aside from the fact that the majority of the fans were probably NOT residents of the District of Columbia, the call for Trump's prosecution and imprisonment, in contrast to the similar attacks on Hillary, is NOT politically motivated. Republicans and Democrats alike should decry and condemn Trump's treasonous actions.
Any good American--or good person--should be against Trump and for his impeachment at this point. Those Republicans who put party before country are acting reprehensibly, but their numbers are shrinking.
Nancy Pelosi announced that there will be a formal vote on whether to hold an impeachment inquiry. That isn't required, per a recent District Court decision, but she wants to blunt Republican talking points. We can then see which Republican rats are willing to go down with the ship.
