The Bureau of Reclamation has just struck a deal with California whereby the state will cut back its drawdown of 2 million acre-feet of water from Lake Mead in return for a payment of $65 million (the numbers haven't been finalized). Similar deals are being made with Nevada and Arizona.
Where did the money come from, you may ask? I'll tell you! The money was set aside as part of the 2022 Biden Inflation Reduction Act, to help with conservation efforts. And now that the Pacific Southwest is in the throes of a massive Bidendrought (remember, everything in the entire world, past, present, and future, is Biden's fault; see: stupid Tom); these deals will slow down the reservoir's descent to deadpool.
Just more of that liberal radical radical liberal gummint a'spending. Heck, for that money, we could fight Iran for another three hours!
