Unfortunately, Adelson is a major reason why Vegas is a Trumper town. That and the old saying, "Money talks." The casinos opened up much too soon, but CASH FLOW was at stake. What's a few thousand deaths compared to restoring cash flow?
When I'm in town, I buy the RJ, read the comics, and throw the rest away except for the Las Vegas Sun, which is, bizarrely, contained within as a separate newspaper. The LVRJ actually has an avowed white supremacist and Nazi sympathizer (Victor Joecks) as well as a servile, fawning, rich Trumper (Wayne Allen Root) as regular opinion columnists. Occasionally, Adelson himself will ooze onto the op-ed page.
The LVRJ is moderately to extremely conservative-biased in the way it presents the news, including its choice of headlines. I'm not going to read the "reasons" for their endorsement of one of the biggest assholes in American history--I'm sure it's the same old dogcrap.
The existence of the Las Vegas Review-Journal is a good reason to not visit Vegas.
