The focus of the investigation has shifted from Trump's acts of treason to his efforts to cover them up.
Like in the Mueller investigation--if the Orange Asshole, as he has so frequently Twitter-farted, committed "NO COLLUSION!!!!", then why did he commit eight separate acts of obstruction of justice to impede the investigation? If he wasn't guilty, why did he commit eight crimes to cover it all up?
That's what actually got Nixon way back when. It wasn't the crime itself of the Watergate break-in; it was Nixon's cover-up efforts that brought him down. Ironically, he could have just thrown the burglars under the bus, said it was all their idea and he hadn't been consulted or informed, and he probably would have gotten off scot-free.
Now it's becoming clearer and clearer that Trump actively tried to conceal his criminal, treasonous dealings with Ukraine. If there was nothing wrong with what he did, then why all the frantic efforts to conceal it, like a dog scratching dirt onto its dung pile?
I though that he might actually have been ignorant and stupid enough to believe that he could run the Presidency like one of his companies, but that appears to not be the case. He comprehends, however dimly, that running the White House like a crime syndicate is, y'know, against the law.
I am laying 1000:1 that Stalker will not be able to control himself and will, with breathtaking originality, respond to this post with an insult--probably calling me "dumb." It's a word too long for him to spell correctly in most cases, but he's been practicing really, really hard and he gets it right most of the time now.
Lvfritz, despite his announced self-ban: 500-1.
Other assorted Trumpers ("the field"): 50-1.
