The Last Days of Trump--update

The focus of the investigation has shifted from Trump's acts of treason to his efforts to cover them up.

Like in the Mueller investigation--if the Orange Asshole, as he has so frequently Twitter-farted, committed "NO COLLUSION!!!!", then why did he commit eight separate acts of obstruction of justice to impede the investigation? If he wasn't guilty, why did he commit eight crimes to cover it all up?

That's what actually got Nixon way back when. It wasn't the crime itself of the Watergate break-in; it was Nixon's cover-up efforts that brought him down. Ironically, he could have just thrown the burglars under the bus, said it was all their idea and he hadn't been consulted or informed, and he probably would have gotten off scot-free.

Now it's becoming clearer and clearer that Trump actively tried to conceal his criminal, treasonous dealings with Ukraine. If there was nothing wrong with what he did, then why all the frantic efforts to conceal it, like a dog scratching dirt onto its dung pile?

I though that he might actually have been ignorant and stupid enough to believe that he could run the Presidency like one of his companies, but that appears to not be the case. He comprehends, however dimly, that running the White House like a crime syndicate is, y'know, against the law.

I am laying 1000:1 that Stalker will not be able to control himself and will, with breathtaking originality, respond to this post with an insult--probably calling me "dumb." It's a word too long for him to spell correctly in most cases, but he's been practicing really, really hard and he gets it right most of the time now.

Lvfritz, despite his announced self-ban: 500-1.

Other assorted Trumpers ("the field"): 50-1.

Pence will be gone before Tump. Trump will force him to resign.  Trump thinks if he gets rid of Pence Republicans won't vote to impeach him because it would leave Nancy Pelosi as President.

Of course, Pence would commit seppuku (literally) if Trump asked him to, but I believe that if the VP dies/resigns/is kidnapped by aliens, the Prez must name a successor in a reasonable length of time. (I don't know the specific law). Trump would probably repeat the Pence strategy by naming someone so horrible that everyone would have second thoughts about impeaching Trump.

My prediction is that he names Sean Hannity. He's already the de facto President.

The scenario you mentioned, though, conjures up an image where Nancy has the Oval Office steam-cleaned and sandblasted, and has the office chair burned and replaced with a new one. Ideally, she takes down Trump's portrait in that hallway and replaces it with a notice, "This space intentionally left blank."

To summarize; it was ok for Clinton to keep her state dept emails on an unsecured private server in her bathroom & then delete them.

But it is wrong for President Trump to allegedly keep records on a secure White House server with limited access

Yes, in fact, it was "OK," because the FBI investigated that for months and concluded she wasn't guilty of any crime.

We won't know if Trump's behavior re the server was a crime until we see what the data were. It would be illegal for him to keep documents there that are supposed to be turned over to oversight committees.

Really, Trumpers should quit the false equivalence nonsense. I mean, yeah, Trump's a criminal and a traitor, BUT SO WHAT, HILLARY SENT EMAILS???? Really, do you want to keep going there, over and over and over and over? Who cares?
