Another massive failure.
“Late last night, DHS headquarters was alerted to a situation where one of our contracted medical professionals conducting screenings at LAX international airport had tested positive for COVID-19, also known as the coronavirus,” the DHS statement read. “This individual is currently under self-quarantine at home with mild symptoms and under medical supervision. Their immediate family is also under home quarantine.”
I wonder how many air travelers have been infected?
Remember, everyone, Trump takes credit for everything good that has happened during his presidency, so he has to take the blame for everything bad. As someone (I don't know who) said, "You want to own the up, you gotta own the down."
The US has failed to contain the coronavirus and it will soon turn into a true pandemic (by definition, that's when virtually everyone has been exposed). A 7% death rate would be over 24 million people. I hope we can pare that down to more like 1% with adequate medical care. Oh, wait, Trump cut the funding for that, three years running!
At this point, it might be better to contract the disease now and get it treated, rather than later, when the hospitals are stuffed to overflowing. It will eventually become impossible to obtain care and the only thing to do will be to take Trump's advice: "Wait until it gets warmer."
I've said many times that Trump's incompetence and willful destruction of social programs would kill people. Here it comes! Wouldn't it be nice if only Trumpers caught the coronavirus?
