Becase according to the FOX News crowd the real villains fo this story are Brittany and Lebron.

Average attendance is 6,000, about a third of the NBA & tickets average $17. The Ct Sun give their tickets away to casino players.  The NY Liberty used to play in a 4,000 seat arena (which they couldn't sell out).  TV viewship for the finals is 400,000, regular season less.  The league has never made money & if it wasn't for the NBA the league would be long gone

So does every NFL football team who demands municipalities buy and build them billion dollar stadiums to play in.   But those aren't women so Boilerman doesn't mind so much

Vegas ponied up so much money to finance Allegiant Stadium, the obligations may never be paid off--despite the scheme to make the tourists pay for it.

A study commissioned in 2018 reported that every single NFL expansion franchise, as well as franchises that moved to other cities, has been a net loser for the city's taxpayers. So the locals subsidize those teams whether they care about them or not.

In Indianapolis taxpayers paid for the stadium.   The Colts get all of the profit from the consessession stands...and that's not just true for football games.   All the concerts, rodeos, tractor pulls, circuses .... the Colts get that money too

I can see why she and others like her would go to Russia to play ball.  While she was making $250,000 in the US, the shelf life of an athelete is short.  If she can earn an additional $1 million annually in Russia and do this for a decade, she's largely set for life if was smart.

She's not smart, however.  Otherwise she would never have brought any amount of drugs into Russia.

The WNBA has lost money every year since it's inception, including a $12 million dollar loss in 2021.  They will, of course, lose money in 2022.  It's very difficult to give employees a salary increase when losing money 25 straight years.

The NBA, I'm sure after worrying about Liberal whining, is increasing player salaries substantially.  The "entitlements" are being subsidized by the NBA.  The NBA has decided that it's worth throwing a bone to the whiners since Liberal writers would grill them in the press if they didn't cave.
