Let's see how all that low cost renewable energy is working out for California

The entire low cost renewable energy argument was and is a lie.  These telling the lie exclude the expensive transportation costs.  They exclude the cost of the peaker plants that must sit in wait for when the wind stops blowing or the clouds roll in.  Yep, Libs have always demanded that we lie about these expenses.  Well, they can only hide these lies until the bills roll in.  Now, reality has arrived and the lie is exposed.

Source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The 24.4 cents per kWh Los Angeles households paid for electricity in July 2022 was 47.0 percent more than the nationwide average of 16.6 cents per kWh. Last July, electricity costs were 54.5 percent higher in Los Angeles compared to the nation.

I recall reading about similar little speechies made about cars, airplanes, personal computers, the internet...it's just a fad, it isn't practical, etc. etc.

Even the fossil fuel bosses whom you worship admit that renewable energy is cheaper than burning fossil fuels to generate power.

What "transportation costs" are associated with wind and solar? And don't fossil fuels have to be transported?

This past weekend electric car owners in Ca were asked not charge their cars due to a shortage of electricity. Last week Ca mandated 35% electric cars within a few years.  According to liberals this will all happen by magic 

Mandates are useless if we don't have the technology, materials & capacity to produce the cars. 

None of this will make any difference if China/India continue to expand fossil fuel use.

Since your "if" statement is nonsense, I'm not going to argue against it. Renewables are cheapER than fossil fuels. California's electricity costs would be higher if they didn't use renewables. But they're still high because they still use mostly fossil fuels.

You're sounding like a fool. Even your fossil fuel heroes admit that renewable energy costs less than fossil fuel energy.

We certainly have the capacity and capability to transition to electric vehicles. And yes, we will have to import some materials. Just like we have to in a hundred other vital industries.
