I apparently offended someone in the Las Vegas general discussion area by sharing an observation that the morbidly obese like to hang around buffets.

This gentleman I angered claimed I was being cruel for mocking people with an "eating problem".

It got me to thinking. Casinos cut off problem gamblers. They quit serving alcohol to people who become too intoxicated.  It's illegal to do even legal drugs at the casino. So all these people with different problems are cut off to prevent them from harming themselves or the casinos.  Yet why is it taboo to tell a morbidly obese person after their fifth buffet plate that it's time for them to leave? Aren't the casinos enabling their eating problem?
