Let's vote! Two threads started per day limit

Thank you Candy for taking the time to check Lewis's claims. My present self - imposed goal is to post no more than 2 threads a day. I have tried to adhear to that quota and will continue to do so in the future. There will be some days I may not post any new threads. I do thusly because of the past comments and action taken against me concerning the number of daily threads I was making in the past - which, now that I look back, were excessive.

I think that's reasonable. While in the past I think your thread count was a bit excessive since your return from suspension it has been reasonable.

I appreciate you making an effort.

LiveFree, I respect your point of view. I'm a bit mystified that, like Candy, you always seem to be on Miller's side. But then, you never saw or experienced the worst of Miller. He's never threatened you with physical violence. He's never spammed your blog out of existence. He's never called you a liar, delusional, sick, etc. etc. etc. for the awful crime of disagreeing with him.

All that said, I, unlike MAGA, believe that you may love anyone you wish.

If Miller's recent modest (quite modest) behavior modification is from a genuine recognition that he needed to do so and not because he doesn't want to get booted by Anthony, well then, more power to him. But since he hasn't dialed back his signature insult-pitching and name-calling, I have my doubts about that.

In any event, you guys seem to totally approve of Miller and his behavior and habits, and that's completely your call.

I don't feel I "take Miller's side". I have criticized him on several occasions. I think the times I've criticized you are more in your memory and you have some confirmation bias there.

I had not kept up with when David was "disciplined" and/or barred from starting threads.

It may look like cherry-picking on my part.   I did qualify the results with specific dates.  I could have gone farther back, but as I said one month was exhausting.

I am not a "passionate David Miller advocate", and I have no problem with your religious views.  In fact I believe I had shared some measure of understanding with you about that.

If David called me "delusional" or "ignorant" I missed it or it didn't register as particularly aggregious.  I'd have to search back at context, which I'm not likely to do.  Those are probably not the worst descriptors anyone in my life ever thought about me.

I'm pleased to see that David recognizes he initiated too many threads in the past, and his pledge to rein that in.

Kudos to anyone who self-reflects concerning their posting style.

Kevin, many readers, me included cheer your knowledge of Vegas, eateries, hotels, players clubs, gambling strategy and more.  I appreciate it when I post something and you reply with a cogently expressed analysis, pro or con.

David has had enough detractors on this site that you don't have to try to quash everything he (or Tom, or anyone else) posts with personally insulting words and characterizations.   It waters down your own strong points.

'nuff said by me.  Thanks.

You've never criticized me??

Selective memory, I must acknowledge, is a powerful tool.

But let's stop talking about that guy that I loathe but you guys inexplicably love. Whatever you accuse me of, he's done tenfold, but you're looking through the wrong end of the binoculars, methinks. You might want to get the opinions of Mark or PJ if you want to continue this.

I agree with you that in the vanishingly unlikely event that Miller is genuinely and honestly trying to reform his behavior because he realizes how off-putting it is, and not because he doesn't want to be spanked by Anthony again (with harsher penalties), we should all be quite pleased.

I consider that to be a googol:1 proposition.

It matters not. You expressing love for Miller is the same as Miller expressing love for Trump; you're both entitled to.

I just don't like being criticized for doing the same things that Miller has done tenfold; how often have you scolded Miller for his horrid rudeness and hostility? But who ever said life is fair??

Candy, do you realize that "David Miller," the feverishly devoted Trump appendage and scourge of liberals everywhere, is a completely contrived persona? That no such person actually exists? That "he" was created solely to troll the internet? You may not have seen him in other internet locales, a decade or so ago when America contracted Trump Disease. But I did.

So I know I'm not in conflict with an actual person, and yes, that makes me harsher on "him" than I otherwise would be.

But...didn't you, Kevin, post that you were actually afraid David Miller was stalking you in Las Vegas and likely would accost you, that you alerted some casino friends to BOLO?

I wish I could say DM is getting better but he finally crossed the line with me and I blocked him a few days ago. The LVA is a much more enjoyable place when you don't have to see David calling everyone names which in turn causes everyone to be less polite myself included.

Mark can not handle the truth. I have no problem with him blocking me.

There's definitely an actual person associated with "David Miller." That probably isn't what he calls himself in real life. That's why I didn't give them his "name,," as I doubted he would be checking in under his pseudonym.

I did think it likely that he was all bark and no bite, but I had made the (stupid) mistake of announcing that I was going to be at the 4Q, and when, so I decided, better safe than sorry. It's almost a trope, that when some kookoobird goes violent, his neighbors say something like "He was such a quiet young man."
