This is what Lewis posted in the "Questions to the Staff" portion of the forums here - I deleted the above posts (most of it, the part that David objected to) on the slim possibility that his outrage is genuine and not a pretext. I apologize to any, him included, who were truly offended. I would like to add, though, that many of us are equally offended by being continually called liars, traitors, architects of the "destruction of America," etc. etc.--by him. He has NEVER apologized for that. He doubtless has never thought that he should. If asked, he would say, "I call you a liar because you are a liar," or some such tommyrot. Incidentally, civil discourse includes not calling those who disagree with you liars. So David's objections to my language ring pretty goddamn hollow. His ONLY reason for his "apology" is that he has, once again, broken the Forum rules by making the nasty, uncalled post to me - and he is afraid that he will be barred again. He has brought this whole scenario upon his own self by his actions alone.
