Liberals wish to eliminate the word "Owner" when referring to NBA team owners.

Oh my.  Snowflakes are offending by another word.  I was listening today to ESPN radio, and the talk show host, doing what Liberals do, suggested that in an effort to elimninate any thoughts of Snowflake offense, we eliminate the word "owner".  He inaccurately stated that in non-sport companies, owners are known as CEO's, Presidents, and so on.  Apparantly, this idiot has never interacted with privately owned companies outside of sports.  Owners are called owners.  Publically owned companies have "stockholders", and the senior management is called "President" and "CEO".

When will this Snowflake lunacy end?  Will "chocolate" be banned next because Shiniqua from the south side of Chicago is offended.

A radio host of unkown political affiliation wants langauge changed?    I guess he's a liberal like Robert Mueller and James Comey.

But then again  our president has officially censored certain words and phrases from the CDC.   I mean - he's not an unkown talk show host on AM radio but still.....

"Materials with the words, "vulnerable," "entitlement," and "diversity" were returned to the agency for "correction," according to a senior staffer at the CDC's Office of Financial Services.

  • Bans on the words and phrases "transgender," "fetus," "evidence-based," and "science-based" were communicated "verbally," according to the staffer."

Trump officially implements Newspeak

I suggest Boilerman quit voting for snowflakes if he wants the lunacy to end.

PJ, only a Liberal would suggest such a stupid thing.  Do you believe that NBA owners not be called owners?

No I dont...but he's not the president of the UNited States either.

You seem to be bothered alot more by that than the liberal, snowflake president who takes umbrage to the phrase "evidence-based" and has it censored.    It begs the question - why do anti-snowflakers vote for snowflakes?

Maybe Boilerman can give us the anwser.

Golly, some unknown conservative commentator says liberals want to do something.  Did he interview such liberals and put them on radio so we could hear them saying this? Did he commission a polling company to poll liberals to find out if this something they advocate for or if they have even heard of this idea? I'd have to guess no, so that makes this guy nothing more than a rightwing loon ranting on the airwaves.

Nevertheless, I’ll take your idea and run with it. Any sportsball owner that has taken taxpayer dollars for his team should hereinafter be reffered to as a welfare queen.

From  NBC Sports :

“You shouldn’t say owner,” Warriors forward Draymond Green said last year on HBO’s The Shop, via TMZ. The thinking is that the term “owner” in a league predominantly consisting of African-American players is racially insensitive.

In the current politically correct vs. politically incorrect cage-match climate, as many will strongly agree as will strongly disagree with that notion. We’ve begun the process of exploring whether to employ an alternative term in reference to NFL owners; the problem in some cases is that a team has an owner and, separately, a CEO or a chairman. The goal would be to find a term that reflects the status of the person who is the principal decision maker and primary holder of equity interest, without having to type out that many words every time."

DonDiego posts the above to clarify the origins of the current issue.  DonDiego has no opinion on the matter.  He does not care what "solution", if any, is arrived at.
