Lordy, There Are Tapes!

The House Intelligence Committee is in possession of audio and video recordings and photographs provided to the committee by Lev Parnas, an associate of President Donald Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, who reportedly played a key role in assisting him in his efforts to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and Ukraine, multiple sources familiar with the matter tell ABC News.

The material submitted to the committee includes audio, video and photos that include Giuliani and Trump. It was unclear what the content depicts and the committees only began accessing the material last week.

Seems like old Lev took out an insurance policy, so he wasn't left holding the bag.

I'm sure that the usual gang of propagandists will depict Parnas as a criminal who is just out to get Trump and wants to cut a deal to get himself a lighter sentence.

The hilarious thing is that that's probably true. However, where the Sean Hannity Express derails is the fact that the info Parnas is supplying will be shown to be truthful. The Republican/Trump narrative has been for some time now that anyone who exposes Trump's shit has some kind of personal vendetta against him. Parnas was smart--he bought himself some insurance. He doesn't have it in for Trump--after all, he basically worked for him. But if Trump throws him under the bus...

I strongly suspect that virtually every Trump lackey has written himself/herself a similar insurance policy. Everyone knows that Trump eventually turns on even his most rabid supporters. Being a Trump stooge is dangerous and ultimately unrewarding, so all of his "loyal" followers are collecting documents, videos, etc. for that time when there's a knock on the door.

Ten years from now, we'll look back on this time with a certain amount of amusement, as the rats start fleeing the sinking USS Trump.

I saw a news clip today of the president being asked about Rudy Giuliani working under his direction,  He responds with, "He was not,  You will have to ask Rudy, I'm not his only client, he has lots of other clients".  That sounds eerily similiar to Micheal Cohen treatment by Trump.

Yeah, I saw that too. It looks like Trump is trying to set Rudy up as the fall guy. In the past, Rudy said everything he did in Ukraine was under Trump's orders and that Trump was his legal client.  Since Trump is claiming Rudy wasn't his attorney, Rudy is in deep. He can no longer claim attorney-client privilege. I suspect Trump is distancing himself because Barr has tipped him off that Rudy is going to be indicted.

And yet another Trump lackey is being thrown under the bus. I wonder how many other Trump stooges are slowly realizing that the loyalty Trump demands is never reciprocated.

As far as indictments go, Giuliani has probably squirreled away tons of documents and other evidence showing that he was indeed acting as a Trump agent in Ukraine and was following his orders. That's likely the "insurance" he's been referring to. Rudy the Rat is a scumbag, but he's smart enough to think of self-preservation at this point.
