The LVRJ editorial staff loses its mind

If you're at all familiar with the Las Vegas Review-Journal--essentially, the only daily paper in town--you'll know that it's a right-wing extremist rag, featuring distorted headlines and "opinion" columnists such as the unapologetic white supremacist Victor Joecks and the fawning Trump lackey Wayne Allen Root. Even the letters to the editor that are published carry about a 4:1 Trumper slant.

They really went off the rails today, though. They published an "opinion of the editors" piece reporting that the Obamas were going to purchase a house on Martha's Vineyard. They said that that proves that climate change is a liberal hoax designed to enable the Democrats to take over American government.

The "logic"? Climate change is supposed to result in rising ocean levels. Therefore, anyone believing in climate change wouldn't want to live on an island. Therefore, Obama must not really believe in it.

This is absolutely, breathtakingly stupid, but I'll bet our resident Trumpers will chime in in agreement with it. And of course, over two years after he left office, "conservs" are still bleeding from all orifices at the fact that a no-good darky was running the country for eight years.

Anyone who thinks Obama was a shitty president is obviously racist.  I also happen to think that southern peanut farmers make terrible presidents.  Does that also make me racist.

The topic of the editorial wasn't an opinion on the quality of Obama's presidency.

Anybody who thinks Obama was a shitty President is not necessarily a racist; that person could also be a moron. Are you in the latter category? Have you observed Trump in the last 2+ years and concluded that he is a better President than Obama was? That's an idiotic conclusion, but one many people would express--and in many cases, that would be a cover for racism. You've said that you're not racist. Fine--I accept that you're simply stupid.

And by the way--"peanut farmer" is not a race.

The LVRJ used to have some good matchplay coupons for Boyd properties.   Thats pretty much all it was good for.

Disagreeing with the all knowing Kevin will be rewarded with his never ending verbal name calling and bashing. His refering to and calling someone else "stupid" is like the pot calling the kettle black.

"And by the way--'peanut farmer' is not a race."

That's my point.  You throw the word racist around like popcorn at the theator.

As I often discuss Trump, Trumpers, and the Republican party, I pretty much have no choice, any more than I would be able to discuss skunks for very long without using the word "stink."

And I believe  the LVRJ is still owned by the village idiot's friend, sheldon adelson, which explains it's extreme right wing bias.

The RJ exists to fellate Trump, Netanyahu and other right-wing figures Sheldon is fond of.
