MAGA Roseanne Canceled Because Of Racist Tweets

ABC canceled its hit sitcom "Roseanne" on Tuesday after the star of the show, Roseanne Barr, referred to a former adviser to President Barack Obama as an "ape."

Barr referred to the adviser, Valerie Jarrett, as a "child" of the "Muslim Brotherhood" and "Planet of the Apes" in a tweet posted Monday.

Barr's tweets came nearly a week after the season finale of the newly rebooted “Roseanne” on ABC. The show was the "highest rated and most watched series of the broadcast season," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The cancellation cost ABC $22.7 million, the amount the network booked in advertising revenue from the nine episodes of the now-cancelled sitcom, according to figures from measurement firm iSpot.tv.

Wow, Tom jumps on the whataboutism train in record time.  Don’t forget back in March, at a rally of his political supporters, Trump praised Roseanne’s ratings and told his supporters that the show was about people like us.   

Just another wonderful afternoon reading the senseless rantings from Mark!  Mark, whether you realize it or not, you are the gift that keeps on giving!  Hopefully, you can continue your incessant whining for 6 more years.

"Tweets"? A tweet. A tweet that was offensive, though half true - Valerie had/has direct ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.

ABC fired her and cancelled her show within hours, for a single tweet she made on her own time. That didn't just cost her a job, it cost everyone involved with the show their jobs. ABC was looking for a reason, any reason, to cancel the show because they couldn't stand someone supporting Trump being popular on their network.

Some NFL players do things that many people find offensive while on the job and they are championed by the left. Leftists are outraged when the NFL tells those players they can't do those offensive things on the field, on the job. Some of those players claim the NFL is, and has been. colluding to prevent them from getting a job. Imagine the uproar if those players had been fired within hours of committing the offensive actions when they first occured!

Maher, Olberman, Colbert, Kimmel, SNL and The View, just to name a few, do and say things that are offensive as a regular part of their programs. The networks embrace and promote their crap.

Shame.  I was a big fan of the show both times around.    She's a very funny and eccentric woman.   I dont think she's racist.    She's made alot of enemies in the past by being socially forward in regards to race, religion, and sexual orientation.    She's much more socially liberal than most self identified democrats.

Now she's making enemies for being a Trump supporter and  being insensitive to race because she crossed a line in her tweet.

This is why celebrities have spokespeople and should not be allowed to tweet themselves.   Its easy to say things you'll regret  shortly thereafter.  Trump hasn't figured this out yet.

I just watched the 2nd-last  episode on demand.   They've already removed all the comercials.

The statement I made is true.  Liberal rants are ignored and forgiven, while conservative rants are never to be forgiven.

The last time I checked Kathy Griffin lost all of her TV contracts.   As did Keith Olbermann. 

And Maher's orangutan joke was in direct response to Trump's birtherism claims which nobody on the right has ever confronted Trump about - most of all you.    So, yeah.   Whataboutism sums up your disposition completely. 

I am constantly amazed at the nerve that PJ and others have when they make excuses for the actions of their ilk while condoning anyone they don't agree with as they do the same things .... "Do as I say, not as I do" is their mantra....
