It has come out that Scott Perry and 3 other congress members had asked Trump for a Presidential pardon relating to the attempted reversal of the 2020 election. Any thoughts on that?

Actually I watched the Ranger game last night. After reading & watching the summaries I thought Charles' summary was good.
Since the Republicans were not allowed on the committee (a first) it is not a hearing, but an democrat inquisition.

Exactly what is the "other side" here? This is an investigation into a horrific criminal act perpetrated by over a thousand people and incited and abetted by members of the Trump administration, including, of course, the Orange Pusbag himself. What would any sane defense of that be? That they were all meeting for a picnic?
To answer the question you posed, innocent people don't ask for pardons.
As to what elements of yesterday's testimony are true, I can only point out that much of it was videos of Trump lackeys and sworn eyewitness testimony. But of course, our resident conservitards ape Mother Tucker and call it a witch hunt fake noose belch grunt snort.
