 The only "zero" is you.

One idiot ranting isn't a source.

You consider yourself to be one.

Due to the reasons in the letter.  The usual suspects like to pretend there is no crime, homeless or immigration problems in this country.

Even the feds don't want their workers to come in

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- San Francisco has been dealt another blow as some federal employees have been told to work from home amid the crime and drug use outside of their building in the SoMa. The area of the Federal Building has been a hot spot for drug users and dealers who gather in plain site of security.

ABC - San Fran

The slew of closures of retail stores in San Francisco in recent months doubles as a roundup of well-known shopping brands: Whole Foods, Old Navy and Nordstrom, among others. Nearly half of the stores in the city's downtown shopping district have closed since 2019, the San Francisco Standard found in May.

In June, the 70-store downtown Westfield Mall said it would stop making payments on a $558 million loan, relinquishing ownership of the shopping center and leaving the fate of the complex uncertain

Some more

Since 2019, 47% of businesses in the area have closed, according to the San Francisco Standard.

Some 203 retailers were operating in and around Union Square pre-Covid; as of May, only 107 were left

At least 22 big-name businesses have closed or announced plans to flee the area around San Francisco’s Union Square since January 2022, including trendy retailers like Anthropologie, Banana Republic and Crate & Barrel, as well as the investment firm that owns two of the city’s biggest hotels.

All the office buildings in Union Square are empty because their people work from home.   Thats not because of crime....thats because of the new work dynamic.

So all those Union Square Starbucks, barber shops, and bars that relied on office workers for business are going under..   And thats why the Union Square neighborhood is losing retailiers while Pacific Heights isnt.

And thats why you dont listen to someone who lives on the other side of the country to weigh in on what San Francisco's problems are.

Did pj read the links?  The feds are telling their workers to stay home due

to crime. The stores are closing for the same reasons. Stores are closing everywhere.
Here is a story from the California Globe from May.

Tom, you don't know fuck-all about San Francisco, and your shortbus "sources" aren't going to help you with your ignorance.

Many shops in and around Union Square have closed due to staffing issues, as many who lived and worked in the city switched to remote work. It's very hard to get those people back, given the high cost of living in SF.

That's the simple reality, having nothing to do with politics.

Stupid, stupid stupid Tommie-poo.
