Mamdani gets roasted after telling sweltering New Yorkers to set ACs to 78 degrees

New York is just starting to see the folly of their ways for voting for commie Mamdani. - More of the same to come --  --- The upper echelon will live in comfort … the rest will live as told… that’s how it goes… ask those who escaped socialist/communist countries and came to America. Their words of warning should be heard and heeded.  --- New York City's socialist mayor Zohran Mamdani sparked viral outrage on Thursday when he responded to a heat wave affecting the city by instructing residents how to set their air conditioners.  --- "Set your AC to 78 degrees, turn off lights/electronics you're not using, and unplug what you can. Our City is doing its part too: maintaining the 78 degrees rule in our buildings, dimming/turning off our lights during peak electricity demand, asking private partners to do the same, and powering down non-essential equipment. A stable grid means the AC stays on, and lives are saved. Let's ease demand — and get through the heat — together." ---  "Welcome to socialism, where the government demands you turn your house into a sauna because they can't plan for the super unpredictable fact that it tends to get hot in the summer," Rep. Brandon Gill, R-Texas  --- "Turns out socialism actually isn’t free," Arkansas Republican Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders posted on X.  ---  "Do you feel the warmth of collectivism yet?" Red State writer Bonchie posted on X.  --- https://www.foxnews.com/politics/mamdani-gets-roasted-after-telling-sweltering-new-yorkers-set-acs-78-degrees-commie

What a bunch of babble. 78 degrees is fine. And it's better than having the power go out.

SOOOOOOOOOCIALISM!!!! EEK EEK EEK EEK EEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wait, you mean Mamdani, gives the same advice Abbott gives to Texans? Odd you shit your pants about NYNY when your state makes the same recommendation?

Millerscum's post is a lie, anyway. Mamdani didn't "tell" or "order" NYC residents to conserve. He recommended it. But no penalties or sanctions for anyone who ignores his advice and runs the AC full blast. Gee, I guess that's not SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCIALISM after all!

Abbott did announce free unlimited AC for anyone who kills a Mexican and delivers the scalp to the governor's mansion. But dang it, them Texans are too lazy to hunt in the desert heat.

There you go again Mark - posting an edited version of the truth to suit your asinine outrage - you are such a POS -  Here is what actually was advised and why -   Yes, Governor Greg Abbott has previously asked Texans to set their thermostats to 78 degrees or higher during peak summer hours to help reduce strain on the state's power grid. However, these specific requests to adjust thermostats are officially issued and recommended by the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) and the Public Utility Commission of Texas rather than being direct executive orders from the Governor. The state advises these conservation measures during times of high energy demand and extreme heat to maintain grid stability and prevent localized outages.

So David is saying that it's sound advice to reduce your A/C to 78 degrees during periods of high demand? Gee, and here I thought he was being critical of Mamdami's advice, when it turns out, he was endorsing it!! Way to go, David!!!

Get a third grader to explain it to you.

I said, "your state makes the same recommendations." As far as Abbott goes he has Authority over ERCOT so he could issue an order to remove that recommendation. Why hasn't he?

Are you blind? -- Once again for blind Mark -- these specific requests to adjust thermostats are officially issued and recommended by the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) and the Public Utility Commission of Texas rather than being direct executive orders from the Governor.
