Maybe it's time

I can't conceive of living in a country where a raped woman would be forced by the state to bear her rapist's child. Nor can I imagine living in a nation where a substantial proportion of citizens voted for an egregious, amoral, incompetent lying con man. I also can't consider living in a society where white people are considered to be superior to others, men are deemed superior to women, and human rights are something "granted" by state governments rather than inherently belonging to all people.

I don't consider the people who support all that shit to be my fellow citizens, and I suspect they don't consider me as such, either. FINE.

We should divide into two separate countries. That's how we stand now anyway, practically if not officially. I'd love to live in the nation of Pacifica, where equality actually exists and people are decent. We would, of course, accept women fleeing the Trumpland Federal Abortion Police and immigrants fleeing lynch mobs.

In short, we don't want you, and you don't want us. Why not abandon the pretense of a united nation once and for all?

(I do realize that you'd be a lot poorer than we would, especially after we stopped sending you our tax dollars. But you can save money by ending all social programs and closing the universities for the godless heathen cesspools of liberalism that they are.)

@ Kevin..You're an educated person, apparently. You exhibit and relay useful info regarding Vegas travel and gambling here. Yet you engage in these never-ending digital arguments here regarding ideological and political stances that involve persistent insults ( and, sure..so does some of your resident opposition). Debate / free speech is good..necessary even..yet both sides of the related argument here and the participants lose some luster when insult arrows are thrown. That's just my opinion...about as worthless as the next anonymous observer. I get the opposing side venting game that applies here..it's fun.. up to a point. Yet, there are underlying anxiety and sufferage tenets here fueling the anger  ( not just here..it's nationwide of course  ). It's absolutely none of my bidness ( intentionally misspelled for non-effect), but somehow I expect some different kind of contributions from you based on those you've made elsewhere. Maybe I'm delusional / disillusional..maybe somebody slipped me a mushroom. Again, it ain't my bidness but it seems you could shine a tad brighter if you elected to on these ideological topics. I'm just curious..what are you MOST angry about ( besides what you refer to and label as stupidity)? If you had the theoretical power to change ONE aspect of the conservative collective ( an oversimplification of a complex issue, granted) , what would you suggest? Should they all just be blindfolded and subsequently parachuted into an uncharted jungle of the Amazon rainforest..at night..with no Deet? Or would that be too massive an insult to the cultural well-being of South America? Or, an inexcusable waste of costly avgas?

To answer your question about what most pisses me off about them, it's their hypocrisy. How they claim to LUVVVV Amerika apple pie Duh Founding Fathers blah blah blah but when they're asked to actually respect the principles upon which this nation was founded, they lower their eyes and shuffle off the stage--or, worse, work tirelessly to subvert those principles. And more often than not, that's done for the basest of motives.

As far as specifics, I'm angered by how they suck the dicks of the fossil fuel industry and spread disinformation about climate change; how they're the party of big business and not of the average Joe (though plenty of Joes have been suckered in by them); how they've been willing to utterly abandon their morality in order to lick Trump; and how they wrap their misogyny (which is by no means confined to Republican men) in the Bible and their bigotry in the flag.

But the second question you asked, what would I change--I would purge them of their abiding and largely unshakable fealty to social mores that started to grow moldy back in the 1950s. They're the party of yesterday's values and obsolete beliefs. And they're SO fucking willing to make other people miserable in order to prop up those values and beliefs just a little while longer, even as they feel the hot breath of impotence, dementia, and death on their necks.

For the time being, though, I wouldn't even want that much. I'd just want them to stop being the gang that believes in wackadoodle conspiracy theories and adoringly follows con men, assholes, and scumbags. They could keep on being bigoted, antediluvian, and amoral for the time being--if they at least returned to rationality.

I don't like your suggested solution, because I don't know what the Amazon rainforest has done to deserve Republicans. Instead, let's parachute them into Texas--a place with at least as many mosquitoes and where gun battles regularly erupt in grocery stores and laundromats. I'm sure that BetMGM will come up with a way for us to wager on who survives the longest.

Yes, BetMGM is knowledgeable about blood-sucking insects, particularly the administrators (based on results of an in-house study). We could get the over / under line odds and subsequently remortgage the house and let it roll. Or not. I'm hoping you're able to find a means to dilute/ manage / reconfigure your anger and resentment...it could potentially eat you up, eventually. That same approach applies to your foes on the other side here, too. The old axiom " it's not what you say..it's how you say it" applies, I think.
