Meanwhile, back at the cash register...

As far as generics go, I think Dollar General has some of the best tasting generics on the market. Their PB is good and they have the best selection of generic chips I have ever tasted.

If you want a hoot, look up John Oliver's "Last Week Tonight" segment (on YouTube) about Dollar General. It's a ridiculous clusterfuck. At times, there is only ONE SINGLE employee at work in a DG! Piles of stuff everywhere that there's no one to sort or shelve...chaos!

But as far as bargains go...? I really don't know whether it's discounted crap (like Grocery Outlet) or genuine deals. Thanks for the chip tip. I may check it out.

We have a Trader Joe's.  Everything a little higher but I like it in there.  I'll check their PB.  Thanks, Kevin.

Edited to add, back in  my Girl Scout days we partially hulled out an apple, filled it with a mixture of peanut butter and raisins, for a portable on the trail snack.

Two pounds of 80/20 ground beef is now $15 at my Kroger in Indianapolis.     THis is the standard stuff - not Black Angus or some shit.

Thats some damn expensive chili.    But, hey,   somebody has to sacrifice right?   How else are we going to pay for the 200 billion in estate tax relief for yacht babies?

Yeah, food prices are the area that's been hit hardest. It can't be the Trumpiffs alone. It must also be labor shortages.

Thanks to the Turd, we will soon no longer be able to afford luxuries like meat.

So much losing!

That sounds so Scout-y. I might do that myself.
