Meanwhile...back in the real world. June inflation reaches a new 40 year high.

US inflation reached a new 40-year high in June of 9.1% | AP News

As democrats deflected the blame, whined about Trump and changed the subject...Inflation continues to outpace wages.   About a 4% loss of real wages for Americans in June.  Enjoy the declining standard of living Americans.  I just wonder who Joe will blame this month.

Here are a few the previous Bidenscuses:

There's no inflation problem at all.

If there is a problem, it's a first world problem.

It's transitory.

It's Covid

It's the Supply Chain.

It's the greedy the meat industry.

It will peak in December 21.

It's all Putin's fault

It's the oil companies.

It's corporate greed.

Ultra-Maga is to blame.

Price gouging.

Republicans.

Conveniently left out:

Pumping 3 trillion dollars into an economy that needed far less for a solid recovery.

A slow to react Federal Reserve that ignored price stability, Biden reappoints Jerome Powell.

Democrats war on fossil fuel from day one of Biden's term.

So what's next?  Tank the economy to save the economy?  Drain the strategic oil reserve to save a few pennies at the pump in July and declare victory in August?  Sounds like a plan.

I can only imagine what Democrats would be saying if this inflation and decline in real wages were happening with Republicans in charge.  You think they'd be blaming Putin?  You think they'd find solace in saving a few pennies at the pump while gas is still 80% higher than when they took over?  Of course they wouldn't.  They'd rightly blame the administration. Because the buck stops with the President.  Even if it's only worth 50 cents.  Too bad we're stuck with Jimmy Carter 2.0....only with quickly declining mental capabilities.

"Rightly blame the administration." That's where your rant goes off the rails.

I know that the tiny-brained folk all think like you:

1. Bad thing!

2. Who Prezidunt?

3. Biden Prezidunt! Bad thing Bidenz fault!! DAWWWWWK!!!

I suppose that's easier--because it's more simplistic--than attributing the current economic malaise to its actual causes, which are a) continuing worldwide supply and other logistic difficulties resulting from the pandemic, which BTW isn't over, and b) the devastating global effects of the Ukraine war.

Also consider, because you really shouldn't lump yourself in with the tiny-brained folk, that the US is only a small part of the world economy and while Biden has very limited influence on the US economy, he has ZERO influence on the rest of the world's economy. Yet, these problems are global. If it was just Biden's incompetence or stuttering or being a Democrat or whatever that was the problem, wouldn't the economic problems be confined to the US?

But go ahead and think wrongly and simplistically if you wish. It obviously makes you feel better. And it's always soothing to "discover" an easy explanation for a complex dilemma.

And yeah, your position ties into the Republican message: just get rid of Biden, elect us (don't worry, we won't accuse you of fraud when we win), and it'll all be unicorns and rainbows from that point on. Gas will be fourteen cents a gallon and we'll put them wimmenfolk in their place once and for all!

You said ''the buck stops with the President''.

Do you honestly think that your orange god would've taken responsibilty for this?

He famously said that he takes no responsibility for the botched covid testing.

Besides, he would be too busy working on how to turn America into Trump World and putting the people on his ''enemies list'' in jail.

I guess you conveniently missed the three areas I pointed out as the fault of this administration.

Conveniently left out:

Pumping 3 trillion dollars into an economy that needed far less for a solid recovery.

Even top democrat economists pointed out the folly of the American Recovery Act + Infrastructure Bill.  They said it would lead to inflation.  It did.  I know it's hard for you to grasp what happens when you get too much money chasing too few goods.  It's Econ 101.  You must have failed.

A slow to react Federal Reserve that ignored price stability, Biden reappoints Jerome Powell.

The Fed is responsible for price stability.  It's their charter.  Joe reappointed a chairman who failed his main mission.  Why?

Democrats war on fossil fuel from day one of Biden's term.

I know you're blind to the impacts of cancelling pipelines and increasing regulatory hurdles.  I know you'll never accept that increasing oil prices is part of the green agenda now that it's hurting Americans.  Instead you'd rather Crazy Joe negotiate with pariah nations.  It's just laughable.

It's Global

Now, to your feeble point claiming it's 'global' problem.  That's like saying 'Eat your dinner.  There's starving people in China'.  Or pointing out Turkey's 44% inflation and claiming we've got it good.  The fact is that not all countries are experiencing the devastating inflation we are.  Let's just look at the World's top 4 economies and their June inflation rates:

USA 9.1%

China 2.5%

Japan 2.5%

Germany 7.6%

Oh.  We win again.  How can that be?  It would be impossible if Kevin was right and inflation was some mystical global phenomenon and individual country's policies have no impact on inflation.  Hell Japan imports most all their raw materials and pioneered Just In Time manufacturing....Yet they have no supply chain problems?  Germany was getting much of their energy from Russia but they've got less inflation than the world's largest economy and reserve currency.  How can that be?  The fact of the matter is that a country's monetary and fiscal policies impact that country's inflation rate.  Always has.  Always will.  If you don't understand how, I suggest you read a book on economics.

Hypocrisy

Now tell me with a straight face that you wouldn't be blaming Trump for our declining standard of living if this was his administration.  I have no doubt you'd be blaming him not only for the economic problems we face but for the Ukraine invasion as well.  Because you blamed Trump for EVERYTHING.  Including the genital warts on your ass.

You and the Toad make perfect appologists and butt buddies for Joe Biden.  You'd gladly be giving him blowjobs once you finish off each other.  Useful idiots for the Democrat Party.  Too bad for you the vast majority of sane Amercans (Including most Democrats) see right though your bullshit.

Majority of Democrats Blame Joe Biden for Soaring Inflation: Poll (newsweek.com)

Less than 30% of Americans approve of Biden's handling of inflation, poll says | WCIV (abcnews4.com)

Note that you started this nastiness.  I know you have no ability to resist so in some ways I pitty you and your little Toad friend.  Since you can't discuss with logical arguments, I'm just throwing the insults back in your monkey poxed face.  Unfortunately I can't waste much more time educating you. it's a lost cause because I know you and Toad waste your whole lives here and I actually have a life.

Insults coming in 3, 2, 1....So predictable.

The US dollar is the highest its been in years.   So the "weak dollar - too much  money supply" is bullshit.

Dollar has been rising against other currencies for over a year

If Charles exchanged his Joe Biden money for those other currencies last year he would be in a shitload of trouble.

Better yet, look at the great inlfation hedge, GOLD, and its price.     Weak dollar means expensive gold.   But we have the cheapest gold price since COVID started.

The supply chain that Charles shrugs off is the heart of the problem.  Gasoline and microchips arent expensive because of too much money floating around- they are expensive because the suppliers have been compromised.     Go to a car lot and count the new cars they have available.   You'll only need your fingers and toes to count.

And as far as Jerome Powell.....he's largely doing what he's suppossed to even if he's late to the party.   But if Charles wants to cry about him being re-assigned to his position while ignoring the president who put him there in the first place....well go right ahead and play that hypocitical card.   I would expect nothing less.

I would insult you by telling you to go fuck yourself, but then you would be disappointed.

Charles, you support the political party that advocates slaughtering your people like sheep. That suggests that your reasoning skills are, um, crippled.

And the problem IS global, dumb fuck. Claiming otherwise is just plain silly, and I won't bother to try to educate you.

You don't understand monetary policy do you?  Where did I mention a 'weak dollar'?  Where did I mention USD vs any other currency?   The dollar is strenghtening because the Fed is tightening.  The exact same thing happened when Paul Volker raised rates decates ago.  They are draining 3 tillion in assets from their balance sheet.  Late to the party?  Well there's an understatement.  THEY CAUSED THE PARTY along with Biden and the Congress's reckless spending and insane energy policy. The only hypocricy is your failure to place the blame where it belongs.  Somehow I think you'd be bitching up a storm about inflation if Trump were President.

I see you failed to explain how if inflation is caused by some mysterious global phenomena then why is the US inflation rate so much higher than the three economies just below us in size.   More than three times that of China and Japan.  Or why Turkey is sporting a 44% inflation rate.  Do they live on a different globe?  Idiot.  Here...take a lesson from one of your own...coincidentally...a statement made just today.

“For more than a year, leaders in Washington have ignored the serious concerns raised by myself and others about the rising cost of inflation.  While Washington seems to now understand this reality, it is time for us to work together to get unnecessary spending under control, produce more energy at home and take more active and serious steps to address this record inflation that now poses a clear and present danger to our economy.”

Democrat Senator Joe Manchin....One of the few sane Democrats in the US Senate.

Let's see.  Address out of control, reckless federal spending?  Change our energy policy to 'produce more energy at home?  Where have we heard that before?  Oh yeah.  I just explained to you how these are two of the root causes of our inflation.. .Dang, I'm good.

If you and you ilk (and team Biden) can't just admit our inflation problem is caused by US fiscal, monetary and energy policy and not Putin and the global boogeyman, this problem will continue to get worse..  The first step is to admit you have a problem.

You just did...in this post ...again.

If you think the money printing is the reason for inflation we would have a week dollar.   Thats 1980.

And that was correct....then.   Thats not correct now.  But if thats your story then you should stick to it instead of saying one preisdent issuing checks caused inflation while the other one's did not.   And also cheering the economy that was propped up by that dynamic.    Cause then you look really like an over the top hypocrite.

I dont have to engage in your hypothetical bullshit.   As big of a douchebag Trump was - he wad right about one thing.   Inflation was a lesser evil than 30% unemployment.     Funny thing is you agreed right up until his failed coup made him leave office.

And you're  bitching about Jerome Powell ....but only after Joe Biden took office?   Like I said - I'm happy to let that stand on its own hypocritical feet.   And lets be glad he wasnt bullied by Trump to give us negative interest rates.   WHere do you expect inflation would be then?
