I agree that the Turd wasn't knowingly quoting Hitler at one of his latest hate rallies. For one thing, that would have required that he had read "Mein Kampf"--and Trump can't read. Not "won't." Can't. As far as I know, it isn't available in a comic book version.

However, those who are students of history can see alarming parallels between Trump's present campaign and Hitler's successful 1933 campaign. Just like Hitler's, Trump's stated goals are clear--and profoundly undemocratic and evil.

He's a real danger and we all need to work to make sure that he never gets within ten miles of the Oval Office again. Whatever it takes.

The parallels with Germany in the early 1930s are absolutely staggering.  Unfortunately, seeing those parallels requires education, or at least remembering what you were taught back in school.  There's a reason why every dictator "loves the uneducated" or purges the academics.

It also, unfortunately, requires the proper political mindset. The MAGAs can see all this as clearly as we can. But they blot it from their minds due to cognitive dissonance.

Not sure if I agree with you, Kevin.  A huge proportion of die-hard Trump supporters (probably the majority) are relatively uneducated, and probably know or remember very little about what they were taught about Nazi Germany, or history in general, back in high school.  I don't think this stuff is on the radar for the average American; we've all seen those surveys that highlight how ignorant the average American is (you know, "X% of people surveyed didn't know that France is in Europe...").  Ignorance is the friend of the tyrant, and if a little bit of information filters through, you just do the cult leader thing, tell people that they've been lied to all these years by the government, the media, the eggheads, the non-Aryans, etc.

True.  You know the mantra, "he was the greatest President in history, the only problem is the mean tweets."  As though the only problem is hurting overly sensitive people's feelings.  This is a nightmare waiting to happen.

    Look around you, jstewa22, the nightmare, that President Trump predicted, is currently going on all around YOU and throughout America. Apparently "mean tweets" take precedence over the DemocRatic destruction of the economy, the southern sieve that used to be a border, present involvement in 2 new wars, inflation and the decimation of America's energy - all done by the brain dead Biden administration. Only 1 party is trying to keep it's opponent off the ballot for an alleged crime that he has never been charged with.

Disqualification from the ballot is not due to a crime, and nobody ever said it was. If you can read, read the relevant constitutional clause.
