Member poll regarding birth certificates and/or passports

Not necessarily, that's why my son is going through the process of citizenship with me.  This is the process that the German Consulate recommended.

Hubschrauber, "lifting screw." I bet they just call it a Heli or a Kopter, though.

Of all the European nations I've visited, Germany was where I spent the second-most time (England the first). I've always wondered what it would be like to live there. I loved Bavaria and the Rhineland.

But they charge a hefty additional fee, right? It's always been the case that if you pony up a little baksheesh, you can get the gummint to move like a snail instead of a glacier. And of course people need quickie passports all the time, for a variety of reasons.

I assume that I could do that trick in Portland as well. The office I went to to get the card originally was on Portland's east side. Turned out to be the week before the city's pandemic shutdown, so I didn't get my card for six months. No big deal, it's not like I would have been traveling.

I have the glacial (regular) version of the process already under way. I feel confident that I'll get my replacement card no later than 2038. December 2038.

I wonder just what the asshole who stole my passport book and card intended to do with them. I made a major mistake telling the passport people that my docs had been stolen. They gave me thirty-five new forms to fill out and made me supply a sworn affidavit. I should have said I lost them in a fire, or the dog ate them, or something.

There are generally three non-emergency options:

Routine 3-6 weeks

Expediated 2 - 3 weeks

Urgent 1-3 days (can sometimes be done same day)

The upcharge for expediated and urgent are the same. $60

No, you will not be able to do "urgent" processing in Portland. You have to make an appointment at an actual passport "agency or center" not an "acceptance facility". There is a difference.

You must make this appointment before applying and are required to have international travel plans within 14 calendar days from the day you make the appointment.

Portland has an acceptance facility that sends your "routine" or "expedited " application packet to a passport agency or center (probably Seattle) for processing. You must go directly to the agency for"urgent" processing

2.  Yet I don't think a person should

have to show one to vote.I also want to vote by mail. I am 81 can still get to polling. Not a lot of people my age can.

I was born in the Rhineland (Eltville....just "around the corner" from Mainz).  My wife was an Army brat and lived for 4 years very close to Bavaria, in Crailsheim.   So Germany is a very special place for both of us.  If we could swing it, we wouldn't mind retiring there.

Because you have been repeatedly caught lying such as your story but how long it takes ti replace a lost passport which LiveFree showed you how to easily do it

So move; typical liberal/commie always wants to leave the USA, but we can't get ride of them

1 Passport. I got a divorce 10 years and it was quite easy to change my name on my passport, DL etc. My question is why won't the real ID DL suffice? You must show proof of citizenship to get a real ID.

Not all "real id" compliant IDs show citizenship. Some do. If yours says on it you are a citizen you are good.

One does not need to be a US citizen to get a real ID DL. For instance, a Canadian citizen that is a lawful resident can get one.
