Midterm election predictions anyone?

Here are mine:

The Democrats will hold the Senate, thanks largely to the Supreme Court's abortion decision.

Democratic House members as a group will receive far more votes than those received by all of the Republicans. But because of undemocratic gerrymandering, that may not be enough, so it will be close

I actually think the recent redistricting wasnt as bad as Democrats feared.   Many blue state districts where drawn by Republican governors after 2010 when Republicans took hold of lots of blue states.     Much of that has gone back to normal.

But to give you an idea how bad gerrymandering is in general.....out of 450 districts only 60 are considered competitive - which is to say they could go to either party.    If you live in any of the other 390 districts your candidate has essentially been chosen for you.

Pretty good break down of it.

And that is exactly how the christofascists want it

So where is David on this?

A lot of his posts basically consist of "We're going to win, neener neener," so I'd think he'd want to weigh in. That is, if he has anything to say.

I was not going to respond, because all I hear in return is bashing from the misguided liberals who post here. Here is my prediction - I sincerely belive that the Republicans will regain the Senate, by a much larger number than many believe. The House will certainly turn Republican. What I predict here remains to be seen and all questions will be answered November 8.

I expect the horrible candidates the RepubliQ have chosen to cost them the Senate. I imagine the most likely result is that it remains 50-50, especially since there are a couple of races where Democrats have a decent chance, where they didn't before.

The House--a LOT closer than everyone expects, but I still think the RepubliQ will win, because of the severe gerrymandering involved.

I'm not going to predict an unlikely outcome simply because it's what I want. The carefully and unethically crafted RepubliQ campaign to keep non-white people from voting (or having their votes count) will be successful.

If not for the "success" of the RepubliQ Handmaid's Tale campaign, they would take the Senate, even with the goobers they've nominated.

We shall see come November. Why all the Libs rant and rave, we will just speak with our ballot.

Yeah, that happens nationally every couple of years. Like in 2020 and 2018.
