A monumental waste of time

And what is your "reason" for believing there is no God? Where is your evidence? You must have proof that you were created from nothing, or are you walking on faith?

This thread is about the recent second impeachment.

Certain concepts and ideas are not merely opinions, nor are those concepts and ideas subject to anyone's opinion. Such as whether it is right or wrong to incite a violent insurrectionist mob to attack the seat of US government, and whether it is right or wrong to prosecute anyone who commits such incitement.

I'm mostly a moral relativist rather than a moral absolutist--or, if you prefer, I do acknowledge that there are such things as situational morality and situational ethics. However, some things are unforgivable. Trump's vicious attacks on the very foundation of our democracy--and I refer to all such actions during his presidency--were absolute wrongs. That's not an opinion--it's a fact.

So I am absolutely intolerant of anyone who supports the destruction of our democracy---which includes a shockingly large percentage of the population. 75 million people voted to end democracy? Unforgivable! They aren't entitled to their "opinions," any more than murderers or rapists are entitled to opine that their actions are right or wrong.

I believe you brought up God in this thread, I was just expanding on your comment, if you didn't care where the direction of this thread went, it's on you. Be the way, you never answered the question.

If you're referring to your question, my answer is that I don't try to reason with religious fanatics, especially when they wave their beliefs in my face and ask me questions that supposedly "challenge" my choice to not believe in God.

I'm free to believe (or not) as I wish, and so are you. What neither you nor I are entitled to do is harass others because they don't believe what we do. So to be clear: I don't believe a single solitary aspect of your religion, and I never will, so if you have the common courtesy that your religion says is a virtue, you'll drop it.

Or, you can be an unChristian douchebag, and keep it up.

A Faith based answer, good for you

The exact opposite, actually. I refuse to have faith in something for which there is no evidence. And just so you know--"faith" shouldn't be capitalized. Also, there should be a hyphen between "faith" and "based." C-minus for you!
