They were granted a legal right to stay here by an immigration court until they have a hearing. Being given a court order that says you can stay here is the very definition of legal. Conservatives always claim they want immigration when people follow the rules. These migrants followed the rules and human trafficker DeSantis specifically targeted them for doing so. 

Why don’t you answer my questions? Why did DeSantis have to go to Texas to find “illegals” as you say? Are there no “illegals" in Florida?  And why target migrants from Venezuela? Why not target the Mexican and Central American migrants the conservative assholes are constantly inflamed about?

   None of these people who ended up in Marthas Vineyard have been to an immigration court, therefore they are illegals until they do go to court. They were granted a court date and cannot be deported until a determination is made. That creates a stay which is a court order. They are following the legal process for being granted legal status.

To obtain asylum through the affirmative asylum process you must be physically present in the United States. You may apply for asylum regardless of how you arrived in the United States or your current immigration status.

What about the 1 million+ getaways who have snuck across the border & are somewhere in the country.  What about the iilegal drugs (fentanyl which wall cause 100,000+ deaths this year).  We have caught numerous criminals & terrorists, how many are in the getaways?

The US only allows 100,000 asylum seekers.  We are way over that number, so any additional people coming in should be sent back.

And we have this requirement.  Very few of these illegals have been vaccinated, so they should not be allowed in the country.
