More White Nationalist terror plots unfolded....

How many were killed? How many were injured?

Again here is the conservative approch to domestic terroism.

It is lucky that antifa didn't kill anyone in their recent attacks against ICE. It wasn't because they weren't trying. Fire bombs and bullets aren't milkshakes, Mark. They have hurt quite a few innocent people and destroyed a lot of property, all in the name of Mark's lunatic leftist ideology. With that cartoon, it is obvious that you support them.

As poor old DonDiego types an "active shooter" is shooting at police officers in the Nicetown section of Philadelphia.

So far six police officers have been shot; their medical conditions have not been released.

If the shooter is a resident of Nicetown he is unlikely a White Nationalist.

"From 4:30 p.m. until 8 p.m., gunfire did not cease for more than 40 minutes at a time. For some, the near constant sound of shots felt like nothing more than a reality of where they live, and for others it brought back memories of a war zone.

“It’s unsafe, but this is the hood. This is what we live with everyday,” one woman said.""

PJ Stroh can relax.  It's just a drug dealer trying to kill cops in the hood....not a White Nationalist Terrorist attack.  They live with that every day there so it's just a little more street crime that doesn't really count.

Interesting you guys bring up Philly. The Mayor there just gave an impassioned plea for the Feds to do something to get the guns off the streets.

“So whether it’s our six officers who were shot or it’s some 15, 17, 20-year-old kid on the streets of Philadelphia who gets shot with guns that shouldn’t be in people’s hands, it’s aggravating, it’s saddening and it’s just something we need to do something about. And if the state and federal government don’t want to stand up to the NRA and some other folks, then let us police ourselves. But they preempt us on all kinds of gun control legislation.

“Our officers deserve to be protected and they don’t deserve to be shot at by a guy for hours with an unlimited supply of weapons and an unlimited supply of bullets. So it’s disgusting and we have to do something about it,” Kenney said.

Yep, I agree with the Mayor.  The corrupt NRA that skimmed money from its members so fat cat Wayne LaPierre could lead a lavish lifestyle and the Republican Party that takes its marching orders from this corrupt organization are disgusting.

The vast majority of gun related 'street crime' is by felons illegally possessing guns.  Instead of trying to prevent law abiding citizens from buying a gun how about severly punishing criminals who possess and use them in crimes?  How about life in prison for possessing a gun while committing a felony and manditory 30 years for a felon in possession?

Punishing gun criminals will do more to prevent gun violence than any gun control legislation the politicos will pass.  Afterall, there's already thousands of gun control laws on the books....but the criminals don't care about laws....because they're criminals.  They'll start to care when they're facing 30 to life because they are a stupid felon who decided to carry a weapon.  That's how you change the gun culture.

The problem is guns that are illegally possessed are rarely discovered unless they have been used in a crime. What good would it do to tack on an illegal possession charge after someone has already used the guns in question to commit a crime?  In this case, the guy is likely going to spend the rest of his life in jail for shooting the cops. What does adding illegal possession to his charges do? If you have decided to commit serious crimes that carry long prison sentences, it is unlikely that you are going to fear an illegal possession of a firearm charge on top of it.

In some states that have open carry because of NRA lobbying and Pro-gun Republican lawmakers if the cops see someone with a gun they aren't allowed to ask if it is registered or if the person carrying it is allowed to possess it unless the officer has probable cause that the person carrying the gun committed a crime which makes it incredibly difficult to find guns that are illegally possessed.

Mark, you are the problem.

In this case it turns out the perpetrator had 6 prior gun convictions.  This is why you're full of shit, Mark.  And don't take my word for it..here's what the Chicago Police Superintendant says obout it:

“As long as we fail to create repercussions for carrying and using illegal guns, or more importantly, hold repeat violent offenders accountable for their actions, we’re simply going to continue to have these discussions on Monday mornings,” said Johnson (after 50 shootings in a Chicago weekend).

Put felons with guns away for 30 to life and this problem will magically go away.  But you are more interested in controling  law abiding gun owners than actually removing the gun criminals from society.

AS usual, Charles is 100% correct and Mark is 100% wrong.
