Muslims

It's a fact that every country accross the globe with a large percentage of Muslims is a cluster.  It's a fact that every country with in increasing percentage of Muslims is becoming more of a cluster.  Why does anyone think that it's a good idea to invite more Muslims into America?

Boilerman asks: "Why does anyone think that it's a good idea to invite more Muslims into America?"

DonDiego cannot answer the question.

Considering the events of this Easter Sunday in Sri Lanka, it would seem a good policy to investigate potential Muslim immigrants critically before admitting them.

Ref: India Times

I dont know what a "cluster" is in your context.   Or why its something I should be afraid of.

I do know the "cluster" of right wing radicals in United States is a bigger threat (statisitically - not my opinion) than Muslims when it comes to terror attacks in the United States.   But I agree with DonDiego's assessment that all immigrants (not just Muslims) should be critically evaluated before admittance.

Anecdotally, I can say there is a massive cluster of Syrian muslim refugees working at the Amazon warehouse I do my part time gig with....and by all accounts they are good citizens living peacefully, paying taxes, and contributing to the local economy.      I cant  imagine why anyone would want to discriminate against them or label them as dangerous based upon their religion.   Can you help me out, Bouilrman?

PJ, I'll clarify things.  Lots of Muslims means a shitty place to live.  This has been proven over and over and over.

PJ Stroh writes:  "But I agree with DonDiego's assessment that all immigrants (not just Muslims) should be critically evaluated before admittance."

Poor old DonDiego is astonished, . . . and pleasantly so !

This aricle does a good job of explaining Islam.  Sri Lanka has a 10% Muslim population.

Pj's point falls apart when one oncludes the huge number of failed muslim plots

Thanks for the comprehensive comparison, Tom, where you copy individual incidents from one group from ...somewhere..

How about this....the chart below only goes through 2016...but according to the Anti Defamaiton League

the trend continues through 2019.

"The fact is right-wing extremists collectively have been responsible for more than 70 percent of the 427 extremist-related killings over the past 10 years, far outnumbering those committed by left-wing extremists or domestic Islamist extremists — even with the sharp rise of Islamist-extremist killings in the past five years."

In conlclusion it would appear people who wear MAGA hats are more likely to commit terrorism than people with towels on their head.   But I'm not sure reducing people to a stereotype based upon that criteria is particularly intelligent.

It doesn't take a lot of forethought to envision how this thread could go bad. "Muslims" isn't slang or otherwise pejorative in and of itself, so we'll let that stand. But let's keep it civil. We're letting this Kitchen Sink category exist, because it seems that a lot of you want the outlet, but the interaction has to remain reasonable and contained.

Anthony - Thank you for allowing civil discussions on your site --- you wound not last long at facebook, youtube or google!
