Getting fired from a job because you refuse to follow the rules isn't even remotely the same thing as "losing your livelihood."
I guess I had to spell that out for Iggo and stupid Tom.

I retired from 40+ years in nursing, all direct patient care. Never was mandated to take any vaccine. Flu vaccine was strongly encouraged.
One year, I guess flu became huge in numbers, so some places declared they would require flu vaccine, knee jerk and well intentioned, not attached to any POTUS mandate. Most came to know pretty quickly that they would have problems mandating the vaccine. A hospital in my town decided that anyone refusing the flu vaccine would be required to wear a mask on duty. Some studies determined that requiring a mask had no medical validity regarding flu. Common sense prevailed in that one. Anybody with developing flu symptoms was to stay home for at least 3 days, etc.
Health care admins get fearful when somebody pulls the "faith card". My hospital had something like that in general policy, but the employee had to submit their request in writing, etc. and some negotiation usually solved their issue. But I'd be interested in how taking a vaccine was viewed in the Catholic church.
We had a Jehova's Witness patient refuse a life-sustaining medication because he read something in the fine print about blood product inclusion during manufacturing process. His pastor was called to look at it with him. The pastor determined that taking the med would not be in opposition to the JH faith, and knowing that the patient accepted the medicine.

Im 100% cool with people who dont want vaccines...or think Ivermectin is anti-viral.....or think shoving bleach up your ass is a COVID deterrant. I think Charles Darwin was too.
Graveyards are full of Trump rally goers who thought they understood pandemics better than the CDC. Just think how much Trump would have won the election by if they were still alive.

That's the silver lining, that the ones who die because they don't believe in medicine or science are usually the idiot MAGA goobers. Not unlike the ones who are getting regularly blasted out of places like Florida and North Carolina because of that liberal hoax climate change.

Iggo refers to such a mandate imposed during an extraordinary event, one that killed millions of people. And it wasn't as he paints it, where you would be dragged away in chains if you refused. You would simply lose your job.
And y'know what? I'm fine with that! If you work in close proximity to others, you shouldn't be allowed to endanger their health! It's no different from workplace smoking bans. And I recall that the bleats against those bans were the exact same as the ones Iggo and stupid Tom are making now--YER INFRINGIFYING MUH PERSUNNUL FREEDUMBS! Well, sorry, boys, but freedoms are NEVER absolute, and they stop when your actions hurt or endanger others.
As far as religious exemptions are concerned--same thing. Yeah, you're free to pursue your idiot faith, whatever it is, believe in God, fairies, witches and goblins, Gandalf, or whatever. Your problem, not mine. But it becomes my problem when you refuse modern medicine, get sick, and then cough on me. When you exercise your supposed freedom to make me sick, it's MY freedom that you're violating.
And of course, religion itself is a highly virulent, contagious, and deadly disease. How many billions of people has it killed, throughout human history?

1 The voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential. This means that the person involved should have legal capacity to give consent; should be situated as to be able to exercise free power of choice, without the intervention of any element of force, fraud, deceit, duress, over-reaching, or other ulterior form of constraint or coercion, and should have sufficient knowledge and comprehension of the elements of the subject matter involved as to enable him to make an understanding and enlightened decision. This latter element requires that before the acceptance of an affirmative decision by the experimental subject there should be made known to him the nature, duration, and purpose of the experiment; the method and means by which it is to be conducted; all inconveniences and hazards reasonably to be expected; and the effects upon his health or person which may possibly come from his participation in the experiment.
The Nuremberg Code was put into place because of fascists like you that think they are better than others and think they should control other's bodies.

The people you so whiningly defend were "forced" to be vaccinated as a condition of their employment. Employers impose and require all sorts of behavior and safety conditions. And yeah yeah yeah, the employees who don't like those rules call their employers "fascists."
You seem very unhinged on this non-issue, so I'll leave you to your ravings.
If Kevin's friends are here illegally, they should be worried...just like anyone illegally in ANY other country across the globe.
