My Hispanic friends are worried

I truly hope he's just going after the bad apples.    Given his recent appointments I highly doubt it. 

Republicans are going to find out really fast how much illegal immigrants contribute to the economy if Trump deports 10 million of them.    

You think inflation was bad after the pandemic?  Wait until farms, meat packing plants, hotels, and restaurants have to pay $30/hour to find people willing to do shit jobs no sane citizen would do now.  

My friends are here perfectly legally; most of them, in fact, are US citizens. They were promised that that would mean something. Now, Trump is going to break that promise.

Boilerboob, Trump has said many times that he would revoke the citizenship of anyone who wasn't born here, and of anyone who was born here to noncitizens. I thought you listened avidly to everything your orange master says. How did you miss that?

Well, he won't have the resources to go after more than a few; not at first, anyway. But Hitler's Gestapo was initially a very small branch of government.

I wonder why no one is talking about the sheer cost of Trump's Holocaust. I made a rough estimate of $4,000 for every man, woman, and child in the US--$16,000 for the average nuclear family. You gotta really hate brown people to be willing to cough that up!

And even if this persecution stays small-scale for now--Trump's race hatred will spread fear and misery throughout our Hispanic communities. It already has. Who can predict with any certainty what Trump will do?

I know one thing. We depend heavily on migrant labor here in Oregon and Washington, in part because our crops are so seasonal and labor-intensive. When it comes time to pick apples or berries, we need a lot of hands in a hurry. Without our guest farm workers, everything's going to rot in the fields.

Yep, the American workers competing for jobs with illegals will be horrified.

You'll pay more for everything. Just like everyone else. And you won't blame it on Trump--you'll come up with some silly anecdote about one of your imaginary friends and use that story to blame it on liberals.

Yeah, that line of AMerican citizenes waiting to mop up pig blood at the food packing plant will finally get hired.   

I just had a mental preview of reporters trying to get into the concentration camps to see conditions there and being arrested for trying.

The good news is all those former government employees will have more options.
