My little Donchik, your dacha is waiting

I have a prediction: after Trump loses the election, he's spend a month or so running around the White House screaming "off with their heads!" and telling anyone who will listen that the election was rigged and he only lost because of the seven trillion illegal aliens who voted for Joe Biden.

Then, he'll run out of gas---as his lackeys swiftly abandon him, knowing they won't have jobs come January anyway. The few who remain--like Rudy the Rat and maybe (maybe!) Baby Trump, will tell him that he'll be liable for criminal prosecution the moment his term expires.

So I predict that sometime around Christmas, as the country celebrates his defeat, he'll vanish like a thief in the night. He'll definitely leave the country, to avoid prosecution--and he'll have to pick a place that won't send him back in handcuffs because of extradition treaties. Brazil is a possibility, but there are too many nonwhite people there for his taste. I predict he'll look up his shirtless bro Vladimir and ask for asylum.

Of course, once Trump is no longer President, Putin might not want to have anything to do with him, having outlived his usefulness. And the Russian mobsters to whom he owes hundreds of millions will want to be paid. So that might not be the safest haven. What do you think? Where will Donny Deadbeat go?

Kevin Lewis inquires: "What do you think? Where will Donny Deadbeat go?"

President Trump has the luxury of owning at least 5 private residences:

__ Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Fl

__ Seven Springs in New Castle, NY

__ Trump Parc in NYC

__ Trump Park Avenue in NYC

__ Trump Tower in NYC

And President Trump can afford to purchase additional real estate, pretty much wherever he chooses.

President Trump and his wife also are entitled to Secret Service protection for the remainder of their lives.

Poor old DonDiego supposes President Trump will live in the luxury to which he has beome accustomed within the United States after he concludes his second term  in office.

Damn straight, Donny will enjoy basking in the millions of dollars he self-delt to his own businesses while in office ...in addition to all the new tax breaks he passed for real estate developers.    Nice when democracy works for the greater good, isn't it?

But he'll also either get his own show or be a regular guest on other shows whose primary function is to pervade conspiracy theories and alt-right division.    QA-non needs a few good men.   They'll get one in the future-former president.

All of those residences are in the United States, which means he would still be within the reach of US law. So he's unlikely to go to any of those places. Plus, when his creditors are able to sue him again, he might not have those properties for much longer.

DonDiego is wrong about Trump's ability to purchase additional real estate. He is deep in debt, plus, he owes tens of millions to Russian oligarchs. All that will come calling when he's thrown out of the White House.

Trump won't have a second term in office. He will have to become accustomed to a much lower level of luxury--i.e., a prison cell--if he doesn't flee the US before his first and only term expires.

So you think he'll stick around, even when he's battered by criminal prosecution and civil lawsuits?

Don't forget, his support network is pretty brittle. He's not going to have many friends---even the propaganda outlets may abandon him after the Trump virus kills half a million people.

I dont know who will prosecute him.  He's fired and replaced the Department of Justice leaders in the SDNY who were looking into him and his associattes' crimes.    And already indicted colleagues of his wont turn on him if he issues them a pardon before leaving office.

And its not like his BFF Mitch is going to hold him accountable in the Senate.

According to documents turned over by the President's niece, the Trump family engaged in defrauding the state of New York out of legally owed taxes. That can't be pardoned by any president, and it will be up to the New York Attorney General to bring the cases.

Well, yes, if we don't reclaim the Senate, it will be harder to prosecute Trump, but it won't be impossible. Pelosi could send the police after him right now for refusing to comply with subpoenas, for example. And the Senate generally doesn't review or control criminal prosecutions. Plus, he can be plain old sued, and his assets seized.

Anyway, Moscow Mitch is heading for the exits, and there's a good chance that the forces of decency will retake the Senate. I would have said odds-against back in January, but that was before Trump's massive fuckups and his Senator lackeys dutifully playing along. The public is slowly realizing that Republican leadership means poverty and death.

By the way, Presidential pardons can't be blanket ("whatever you may have done") and generally have to refer to offenses for which the person in question has actually been charged, so the post-Trump government will probably still be able to go after the lackeys and enablers.

Biden said no pardon.
