Sorry, you want me to list every retail  item made outside of America because you think it's just a few things?   You're dumb, Tom, but you're not that dumb.

let's just be clear here....Tom doesn't think anyone is going to notice the increased prices from Trumps tariffs.   Cause it's all on "no big deal" stuff.    Like everything you buy at any big box retailer.

ok.   Let's mark this post.     and by the way even the Trump administration doesn't buy your narrative.   They're just telling people to deal with it.

gasoline - only 7% is imported

I usually take some time to confirm the facts of my post, but in this case, I don't have time, so I'll just go off the top of my head.

The US doesn't import gasoline; it imports heavy sour crude oil for its refineries to manufacture gasoline.

I look forward to your response.

The United States imports both finished motor gasoline and gasoline blending components3. In 2023, the U.S. imported 43 million barrels of finished motor gasoline, a decrease compared to the previous year.  The US uses over 3 billion barrels per year.

Apparently you are that dumb. PJ thinks that 100% of expenses are retaiI. I showed you a list of expenses that are not retail and not affected by tariffs, such as housing and insurance.  Imported food expenses are a small portion of a family's total food bill.

Sorry about that, I completely misread your post, and my incorrect response wasn't what I was trying to say.
Although what I was trying to say was wrong as well.

That's what I get for posting while my wife's homemade spaghetti and meatballs are on the table.

We don't need to hear about your partner dropping his/her junk on the table.  Even if that's just a dumb insult, why would you read this forum while having dinner?  Not only is it disrespectful to your wife, it would just interrupt and make your meal taste bad.

Yikes, I was in my office on the computer, my wife was in the kitchen cooking, and she yelled out dinner's ready. I said I'll be right there! We had dinner.

I suggest strongly that Liberals move to a full cash position.

Investment advice shouldn't be based on one's poitical position.

You know what I have done during this market volatility?  Nothing.  People should have asset allocations based on their risk tolerance.  The market always seems to recover.  Look at a historical chart of the Dow.
