The Sink is a no holds barred, everything goes environment.  I think it was started to keep personal attacks out of the regular topics.  It works,  mostly.

Seems like we have gone from member meets, to make sure the members do not meet.  Where are the shared ideas and experiences from people that actually go and play in Las Vegas.   I love LVA, and give alot of credit to surviving the casinos over the years..

I have been a subscriber to the Advisor continuously for over 25 years. The Sink used to be a respectful, cordial site until some 8-9 years ago when it changed. Most of the nice people no longer post here as they did before because of the change.

I occasionally attempt to post something of more general interest, start a conversation about something else, like...a kitchen sink type discussion among 'friends'.  It usually fails fast.  Nobody is really interested, it seems.

I think there are plenty of categories on the forum to discuss anything you want about Las Vegas, they're just not very frequently used. I'm more interested in advantage play, where the good games are, and interesting places to eat in Vegas. That can be covered in all of the other categories available on the forum.

We go to Vegas once or twice a year, we enjoy traveling to other places as well, and because we have local casinos, with one that I go to I have an advantage, we get plenty of play close to home. So I don't have a lot to share about things happening there.

The most frequent poster in The Sink, very rarely posts anything about Las Vegas, so I look at the part of the forum very differently than the other ones.
