National and state Democrats are suing the Georgia Election Board to stop a new rule that requires workers to hand count ballots in the upcoming presidential election.

Makes sense, you don't want to verify a count, especially one the Democrats don't want validated or scrutinized.

Why follow those pesky laws when you have a base you want to rile up? By the way, Trump lost in 2020, the election wasn't stolen, and seriously, only idiots or MAGAs, believe otherwise. 

"Before the election board passed the new rules, the office of Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr, a Republican, warned the board members that the new policies probably violated state law and would likely be blocked by a judge if anyone filed a lawsuit.

“These proposed rules are not tethered to any statute — and are, therefore, likely the precise type of impermissible legislation that agencies cannot do,” Carr’s office told the board, saying the new rules could “easily be challenged and determined to be invalid.”"

Unelected bureaucrats are creating legislation on the fly, which seems very anti-MAGA, unless MAGA thinks it's a benefit to them.

And since when do Republicans care what the vote count is?  if they dont like it they make up stories and send death threats to election workers.  Or shake down the governor to find votes.   They're real scumbags like that.

It's not even a bill, an appointed election board made up the rules, illegally, and of course, MAGA supports it because they have no ethical base. They flap in the wind of Fox News rhetoric.

Back to the subject, why would anyone oppose a hand count verification of a vote?

Only those that cheat would.

Redundant, unnecessary and time consuming, and in this case, also apparently illegally inacted, which is the real point. Just the one you don't want to talk about.

Hand counts are less accurate than machine counts.   but if there is a question about the vote integrity and the vote is within a small margin recounts can be ordered.   

There is exactly one reason Republicans want this new provision.   If the vote count comes out like it did last time they can delay it and open up time  while Trump sews his conspiracy theories and lies amongst his mob of thugs - the same one he sent to the Capital.      He knows nobody on his side will hold him accountable for doing that.....Aaron is living proof

THEY ARE SUBSTANTIALLY LESS ACCURATE THAN MACHINE COUNTS.

So there's no reason to do them other than to buy time for the MAGAs to fuck up the election and maybe start "Insurrection: The Sequel."
