National debt would surge under Trump?

National debt could increase under Harris, but it would surge under Trump: new report | AP News

I'm not in the prediction game but I'm pretty confident that if Trump is elected and the national debt surges, MAGA won't be talking about the national debt but the Dems will be.

The national debt is much more of a concept than a meaningful number. Part of the reason is that much of it, we owe to ourselves; another part is that like all debt, what matters is not the amount per se but rather, the cost of carrying it. And currently, we can easily carry that cost, since we pay ourselves and the world very low interest on that debt

Those who get the heebie-jeebies about the very concept of debt should be reminded that 99% of the world's major corporations carry debt in some form.

You might think we 'owe it to ourselves' but it's really making debt slaves of multiple generations for the profit of multinational banks.

Neither party can stop the avalanche, we are past the point of no return.  No matter who is President, Congress will stick to the Continuing Resolutions instead of creating a budget and by 2030 we'll likely be at 50 Trillion if the Democrats don't get us into World War III first.

Conspiracy theories are seductive to stupid people because they’re an easy way to feel smart.

Or if all our precious bodily fluids are sucked out by the commies.

Here you are using a term made up by the government to deflect inquiries into the Kennedy assasination.  You feel smart but you're a sheep.  Clearly you know nothing about the Federal Reserve or monetary policies.

And knowing all that stuff, Aaron, makes you feel very, very special.

It's probably the only time that you feel special in what must be your very disappointing life.
