New Fox News poll: 54 percent of Americans say Trump should be impeached

A Fox News poll released Sunday found that half of Americans say President Trump should be impeached and removed from office.

Fifty percent of respondents supported the president’s impeachment and removal, while 4 percent backed impeachment but not removal. Forty-one percent opposed impeachment.

To be clear it is 50% that want him impeached and removed and 4% that just want him impeached. These are record high numbers. Just the other day someone here was saying, "thru all of Schiff’s lies about all the proof he had to get Trump impeached everything has blowin’ up in his face! What a waste of money!"

The"money" says 54% of America believes the evidence indicates Trump is guilty. Of course, Trump is already squealing like a stuck pig about this poll claiming Fox News is unfair to him. LOL

Mark, your throwing out to many numbers for the snowflakes to comprehend!!

Those numbers will only increase as the process continues. The Senate Republicans will embarrass themselves screaming about how the Orange One is just being persecuted and the Democrats are conducting a bitch hunt.

But will it matter? Will there be any Republihole Senators who consider that supporting Trump is more costly than being loyal to their country? Or will slavish fealty to the traitor take precedence?

I can see the number of Americans supporting impeachment rising to as much as 60%. What will that say about our political system if so many Americans want to pitch Trump overboard but the Senate ignores their wishes? That would seem to me to emphasize a growing divide between the will of the people and what actually happens in Washington.

After all, the guy who lost the election wound up in office. If America wants him out of that office but his party protects him, do we even have democracy any more?

You are cherrypicking the polls.

5 out of the last 7 polls in RCP have impeachment under 50% & dropping.

That is incorrect. What RCP shows right now is .6 point uptick in support for Impeachment. If you would take that one outlier poll out of the average, the increase would be much more.

6 of the 7 polls are showing flat to down. The Fox poll drove it up slightly.

After several weeks of the biased house hearings, the needle has hardly moved, which is not good for the democrats.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. The hearings explored Trump's crimes, so they must have been biased.

The polls don't matter insofar as the process is concerned. The House has voted to impeach; Republican senators will scream and flap their arms; Fox News will spout more propaganda; Trump will use the phrase "witch hunt" 117 times in his tweets; our idiot Trumpers will show their Trump-love with badly worded, illogical, nonsensical posts; and the Senate will vote not to impeach.

The only real consequence will be that Republican senators will be damaged and several of them might lose in 2020. The process won't have much effect on Trump's election chances either way. Though there MIGHT be a few swing voters for whom Trump's treason is the last straw, that won't have much impact. Trump will probably lose the election no matter what, but in order to right his wrongs, we need the Senate as well.

That's been the whole purpose of the impeachment process all along.

Back in July the Fox News poll hand impeachment and remove at 42% so there has been an 8% uptick since July. The trend is upward.

Dems hold a joke process, and the Lyin' Lib media jumps on board.  Slowly but surely, the dimwits will figure it out.  Kevin won’t.

My first thought...wow, "half of Americans"?  Guess I wasn't home when they called.

Then I read the rest---fifty percent of poll respondents.  Oh, OK, 1000 registered voters were polled.

Not exactly the same as "half of Americans."
