You're right in that many tech services have benefitted from orbital flight..and beyond. More to come, no doubt.

Obviously. But none of those benefits currently requires large-payload massive rockets. I was referring to all the talk about colonizing the moon and Mars. While we can reach those places, it's only with great difficulty and at huge expense. Hard to see any justifiable benefits.

Hate to admit it, but I agree with you..on the move to the moon and/or Mars; it's ridiculous. better taxpayer fund uses available.
