The new open up and die model

Based on the lack of adherence to safety measures observed in states that have opened up (or never shut down in the first place), the University of Washington has increased its estimate of projected deaths by Aug. 4 upward by 10,000, to 147,000.

I hope that everybody being able to get a tattoo or a massage again is worth it.

Much of the data from Europe indicates that how careful people are to adhere to guidelines dictates the success or failure of opening up efforts. And in the dum-dum Trumper states, people aren't wearing masks or practicing social distancing AT ALL. Maybe 1% of the population.

We're boned.

In  todays Orange County Register the right wing nut jobs are starting to shame people that do wear masks. In one incident,a Target security guard received a broken arm trying to evict two brothers who refused to wear masks. With assholes like this the pandemic will be around forever.

One might want to reconsider how radical Georgia's governor is after opening the economy more quickly than most.  Scan down this page to see daily death rate, and watch the death data on the plummet.

When it's all over, Kevin is certain to call it "luck".

Your asinine prediction about me is dead wrong. Whatever happens, I will call it science.

What you don't realize, moron, is that it hasn't been long enough since the governor's order for that order to have affected the number of cases. It takes two weeks or longer for new cases to develop.

Also, another factor is in play. Most people in Georgia are NOT going outside and frolicking, reopening their businesses, etc. On the weekend that businesses in Atlanta were allowed to open up, fewer than 10% did so.

You see, Boiler, your stupidity exemplifies what the dum-dum states are doing wrong. They won't see an immediate spike in cases, because the virus has a ling incubation period. Not all dumb-Trumper states will see increases to the same degree, because exposure depends on a variety of factors.

But the completely fucking stupid thing to say, which is what you and they are doing, is to look at the current drop in cases and call it proof that opening up is harmless. The reality is that the drop is due to the fact that lockdown policies were still in effect three weeks ago. There will be a rise in cases and deaths very soon.

That's science, and simple math. Something that I know you and Republicans hate.

As I've said before, the really deadly disease is the moronavirus, which continues to infect a tragically large segment of the population.

If the Republican Party had never existed, we'd have eradicated this virus long ago. Slashing funding for the CDC. Destroying the pandemic team. Jesus. Republicans apparently LIKE disease.

Okay.  I understand now.  Kevin believes that Georgia's decision to reopen is a scientific decision.  It'll still be luck with Kevin, we all know that.

Kevin apparantly doesn't know that Georgia reopened at 75% capacity it's bars, restaurants, tatoo parlors, barber shops, ect........................drum roll.................21 days ago.

Yep. And cases will start to spike very soon. They've already done so in several other early-opening states.

Georgia's decision was made CONTRARY to science. And people will die as a direct result.

Boiler is cheering for that!

What states have seen spikes?  I missed it.

Um, Kevin, if you make a claim it's up to you to provide the evidence, don't you think?
