I think it's hilarious how quickly Trump and Fox News have turned on Bolton. Fox News questioned the sanity of hiring him--and he worked for them for eleven years! Trump has tweetstormed him with all sorts of attacks on his character--and Trump hired him! Remember "only the finest people"?
The Republicans would be wise to allow his testimony in a venue where they can somewhat control the process, rather than on "60 Minutes" or CNN. Will it affect the result? Of course not. But it will further underscore Trump's treason, lies, and obstruction and further shame the Republican lackeys who vote to acquit.
I'd like to think that their vote will affect their prospects in 2022 and 2024, but the American public has an attention span shorter than that of Dory in "Finding Nemo."
