. . . is about to become a paradise for its less wealthy citizens.

The Mayor of NYC has announced a "Comprehensive Health Care" for all city residents.

n.b. It is not a health insurance plan.

"This is the City paying for direct comprehensive care (not just ERs) for people who can't afford it, or can't get comprehensive Medicaid - including 300,000 undocumented New Yorkers," spokesman Eric Phillips tweeted.

"At a press conference Tuesday, de Blasio said the plan will provide primary and specialty care, from pediatrics to OBGYN, geriatric, mental health and other services, to the city's roughly 600,000 uninsured."

DonDiego, for one, sees no downside to this plan.  He would expect a significant migration of "undocumented" residents within the United States to make their way to NYC, but that is not a downside for poor old DonDiego. 

Liberal math - that works to $166 per person; very low. 

Apparently the Mayor ". . . knows a guy" who can get him a good price.

New York will be offering free healthcare....and New Jersy is going to pay for it !

Actually, if the State of New York is able to collect on the littany of tax frauds committed by Donny TaxDodger reported by the  New York Times  it would go a long way towards paying for it.   

(ps - You could probably do something similar at a national level with a tax code that actually makes the billionaire class pay the same effective rate as working stiffs like you and me.)

Would that be the same group that is currently paying over 40% of the federal revenue.  By the time the democrats get done with all their crazy ideas they would have a 200% tax rate

I said tongue in cheek that with all the programs being proposed by the Democrats, it would mean the rich would have to pay a 200% tax rate.

If poor old DonDiego were paying a 200% income-tax, he'd pr'bly have to get a second job.

He can always cut taxes for the citizens of his municipality - there's  a long history of that type of action paying for things.   Just ask W...and Sam BBack...and Paul Ryan.    

Democrat "programs" typically dont have finacnial problems until Republicans sabotage them.   

Great example - Republicans implement Medicare Part D without paying for it and tell drug companies to name their own price for drugs ......and then bitch about how socialist Medicare is running a deficit.

Drug prices have little impact on the $40 trillion Medicare unfunded liability.
