It's kind of hilarious when you consider the history of racism in baseball--the team that broke the color barrier, the Brooklyn Dodgers, with Jackie Robinson, threatened to have a huge advantage over other teams, by being willing to select from a huge talent pool that other teams wouldn't touch. Of course, all other teams caved in pretty quickly. Not because it was wrong or racist to not hire black players. Because it was bad business. No silly moral considerations or anything like that!
Likewise, if a football team doesn't ignore color and focus on drafting the best players, black, white, or purple, it'll be a loser and a failure. So race doesn't enter into it. The reason why there is a disproportionate number of black college players is, for many poorer black kids, an athletic scholarship is the only way to afford college. But when the NFL draft comes, they're selected strictly on merit. So Boiler's Boilerbabble is meaningless.
I agree with you that we have to get rid of the racist shitkickers before we can have true racial equality--I mean, yeah, the government can enact and enforce equality laws, but getting those idiot assholes to actually regard nonwhite people as human--it'll never happen. So I favor reversing the outcome of April 1865 and say, "Guys, you know what? Go ahead and secede. Enjoy." And all the shitkickers who live elsewhere will have a new homeland to migrate to.
