NFL Playoffs

I wonder if Mattress Mack is going to place a huge wager in Vegas on the Super Bowl game.

I see no reason to believe that any of the four dogs will pull off an upset.

Betting-wise, my pick is the Niners -3.5. My analysis (done before the lines were posted) had them at -5. Dallas is always overpriced, especially in the playoffs. And those who don't follow the Niners closely don't realize just how good Purdy really is and how he meshes with their offense.

Purdy is truly amazing..he epitomizes poise, particularly for a rookie. The Niners offense really coincides with the offense he ran at Iowa State...short to medium passing routes, etc. His composure level is really unique, though..have to give him credit for doing an impressive job through 6 games.

But I'll still be pulling for the Cowgirls, mind you, just out of misguided habit / heart. My logic tells me the Niners are just too strong team-wide for the Boys to pull off the upset. We'll see.

He just made a $200K bet on the Cowboys to win the NFC Championship very recently (I like him more now ). I'd be surprised if he didn't make a wager on the Big Game..when the time comes. Little early now for that...we'll see.

I don't think his habit is to bet on any game where a Texas team isn't involved. So, since the Cowboys are about to get ousted...

Each team definitely has issues.  I do like the way the Niners are playing though.  Purdy is probably an upgrade over Garapollo.

Probably the best thing that happened to the Niners was the surprise upgrade at QB. It will be interesting to see how Purdy does against the Dallas D. If he puts in a solid game, he should be the number one going into next year.  If Lance would have finished out the season, I am not sure they would have made the playoffs.  Of course you have to factor in having McCaffrey really elevates QB play.

Cowboys for an upset special Sunday night.

Cowboys have the little guy, Brock Purdy, 3rd string QB sent in back in December when injuries sidelined regulars.  Seems to be hitting his stride, winning games.  But to beat the Niners?  Long shot.

6 and 0 with a really high QB rating. I don't like betting against that. Plus, it's not like the Niners don't have other assets, such as a brutal defense, particularly vs. the run.

Dallas at their best has a good shot to beat the Niners. Dallas at their worst will be turned into a greasy spot. Which team will show up?

I also don't like to bet against teams on eleven-game win streaks.

Chiefs - over

Giants - under

Bengals - over

49'ers   - over

The addition of McCaffery really catapaulted the Niner offense to another level..what a great set of tires he brought to the team.
