Wow, that's fucking idiotic!

 

If guns aren't available, then people can't shoot one another. We knew this 150 years ago when municipalities banned guns within the city limits. With guns, shouting matches turn into shootouts. Drunks turn into murderers. Et cetera.

 

Also...something that rarely gets mentioned...suicides happen more often when the person contemplating suicide has easy access to a gun.

 

Guns kill. That's what they're designed to do.
